Shrek's card arrived yesterday I applied for him as he's still not activated his VA HH Diamond benefit.

With Hilton, I have never been asked to produce the card. Even when offerred, it's always refused. "We have your profile in the system".

You should be gold for all the remainder of the year in which you qualified + all the next calendar year + Hilton usually adds a three month grace to the end of december as well. Looks like you'd be covered then for all 2012, all 2013 + 3 months into 2014.

Requalificaiton is as per:

Hilton HHonors™ - MyWay Benefits Gold


16 paid stays or 36 paid nights or 60,000 base points.

Yep, the Conrad is the only Hilton property in HKG.

If you have time on your side ot book your HKG accom try bidding for accom using Priceline.com | Best deal on Hotels, Flights, Cars, Vacations & more!. If you haven't used it, learn the strategies to maximise your chances of landing the Conrad. I have landed Hilton properties in SIN & Milano using Priceline. Conrad SIN was about $110 if I recall.

You are not supposed to get HHonors elite benifits when booked though "third party" sites such as Priceline.
