image4.1.jpg

Dear <serfty>,

You can now make your reservations online at Hilton Premium Club - HOME

To ensure that your Hilton Premium Club membership benefits continue to offer you superior value, and having regard to your feedback, we have reviewed the reservations process to make it easier for you.

You can now make all your hotel reservations for any Hilton properties in Australia, New Zealand and or Fiji online. Simply log on with your Membership Number: «PC» and your last name: «Last» (case sensitive) and click on the “Make a Reservation” tab to reserve your stay, 24 hours 7 days a week!

To celebrate the launch, make your booking online by 31 January 2008 and go into the draw to win 5 night’s accommodation at the Millennium Hilton Bangkok - plus return Business class flights for two!*

Simply complete and submit the competition entry form online to enter and tell us in 25 words or less why you would like to go to Bangkok.

Woo Hoo!

But taken a while.

Hopefully booking will be easy when I get to try it out :)

I've had a look - It fires up a new browser window/tab with a standard Hilton.com booking engine.

For the $99 rate and other 'specials' it inserts a promo code and you go from there.

There's an informational .PDF which basically tells you to book at the normal rate, insert yor HPC number into the comments and simply front up with the card. The 20% will be deducted at check in/out.

Originally I received the notification for this by e-mail.

Today I also received a 'snail-mail' letter with the same info along with a brochure on how to book. (looks like the.pdf available on the web site)

3. Do you have a corporate membership?
Yes. If you have three other staff members or colleagues you can purchase a corporate membership. Four memberships for AU$650 or NZL$689. Additional card holders thereafter can be purchased for an additional AU$150 or NZL$159
If we can string 4 people together, it will only cost AU$162.50 each:p. Anyone interested??

I used the website for my first booking yesterday and gave feedack to the Qld Program Mgr this afternoon about the letter, email and website.

That would be come out now, right after I renew for 2 years @ $405. Sorry, I can't but IainF might be interested.

I only received the email today. I suppose any letter, if it comes, will be next week.

I would be interested although I have not looked at all the benefits of Hilton premium club.

Can we pay the NZ$ corporate rate? ;)

JohnK, (and others)

I'm going to ring the Hilton Premium Club today about the best way to combine these offers, ie renewal vs new members and a way to suitably combine for a group membership (and maybe payment in NZ $) so I should have some type of answer by this evening.

I'll also ask about your member for a stay voucher JohnK.

I'd be interested in combining mine, although I do have a little way to go on my current membership. I just wonder if anything has been cut out of the membership ($99 stay etc).

The $99 still exists at this stage (I used this years' at AKL last week).

I have used a partner annual membership @AU$202.50 (x 2) with another forum member for the last two years, this expires in May so I would be interested around then.

Yes they still exist. I also hadn't used my $99 from last year, so they extended for another 3 months

I'm also interested. Although I'm being weaned off Hilton by the great PriorityClub, I still stay in Hiltons and would get value from the membership.

*Full membership terms and conditions apply and are available upon request. Membership prices valid until 31/12/2007.

I have the direct phone number of a person who is able to process this for us and I've tried and answer most of the questions below before you ask them.

1. Four is the minimum number and additional members at AU$150 for one year though I'm not sure what it is for two (I'd guess around AU$250 pp though I will ask)
2. The four (or more) members can be friends, aquaintences, business partners or what ever.
3. Two year membership gives two $99 Rate cards.
4. People with current membership can rollover their membership and renew early and keep their current membership number.
5. Member for a stay vouchers can be passed to anyone and activated by the member handing over or the person receiving them. (ring 1800 251 600 and press option #3)
6. Two year membership still only gives 2 member for a stay vouchers per person.

Probably more though I can't think of them right now. This is a cheaper option than a single membership or even a single renewal. I'm happy to coordinate this if people are willing to contact me.

I've also listed the single membership details below for those who wish to go that way.

As discussed with your personal consultant, these are just some of the privileges Hilton Premium Club members will receive when staying at a participating Hilton Hotel in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.*

Yeah, the 2 year deal sounds good (so does the 1 year deal). Let me know if you are going to progress down this path.

Well that makes 4 people interested so far, kpc, mal, straitman and johnk.

I would be happy to go with the 2 year membership at $250 each but if we get more people interested the cost may actually reduce per person as subsequent memberships are cheaper.

JohnK,

Thanks for that. I'll leave it for a while and look out for others. Did you get my reference about how to activate the member for a stay voucher :?:

Not sure. I think I need to call Hilton and book a room and say that I will be using a member for a stay voucher. In the past I had to provide the activation number which as far as I am aware is not on the card you gave me.

Wow....great work Bill! I was initially thinking of the 1 year deal, but the 2 year deal is even better;). Please sign me up for the 2 year deal. When you finalise the numbers, PM your bank details and I will transfer the payment to you. Thanks again for all your ground work!!
