BNE dinner 17th November 2015: Jamie's Italian

I am in town on the 17th (thanks Amex ) and it would be good to catch up with the locals.

Samh004 tried to get a dinner off the ground on the 25th, but there were not many who could make it. So I am happy to take Samh004's lead when it comes to choosing a location.

I had previously suggested Jamie's Italian as I walk past it every time I'm in Brisbane and say to myself I'm going to go there next time, but it depends if the menu works well enough for those coming.

I touch down just after 4, so should be checking in about 5ish.

So maybe anytime after about 6, and then 7ish for dinner?

It's like this Johnk, it's a bit like home, only you will need to prise open your wallet and pay more than wholesale prices for your food (lol) . If you are feeling really generous you may even "tip" the wait staff. ( they are actually very good folk at Jamie's Italian)
The added bonus is being with a bunch of cheerful , happy people. Be warned though, excessive exposure could cause spontaneous cheerfulness and a warm glow of contentment .

I am "Bronze " at this stage. Being a Tuesday its a bit harder for me to plan. I will know more closer to the day.

I was just browsing all of the meet ups and thought,"how completely nuts would it be to have a national simultaneous AFF lunch/dinner. Completely silly I know, but hey, a bit of fun. Time zones could mean lunch on the eastern seaboard, morning tea in SA and NT and breakfast in WA. ...... Well I have had a few reds tonight. ..... Hic ..,, zzzzzzz.

Edit. Actually it could also be a really good fund raiser. ..... Maybe?

I shall be making a booking for this soon.

Due to the nature of the restaurant, I'll book for more and simply amend the booking lower (if those pulling out) a couple days before, but we probably wont be able to add additional guests on the night as it is usually booked out, so please sound off if you would like to join the group for dinner.
