I am back up in Darwin late Feb for a week - is anyone up for Dinner or a drink on any of the dates listed?

The venue can be decided once there is more than just me going. (there were some good suggestions put forward for the one back in November)

That'd be a shame. Especially as JQ had $99 flights from most capitals to DRW recently.

Thanks for the PM. Count me in (provisionally) at this point. Small chance I may have to be in AKL around these dates (if I do, it would be around these dates due to the flights being point redemptions through AA) so the 21st would be the best bet.

Very regrettably I've got a short window to use some of my 5 weeks' accumulated leave and will be swapping monsoonal Darwin for frosty Leicester on those dates.

OT: I got all excited when the email for the $99 Friday fares came out - but at least on Sydney they were only for Tue/Wed/Thur SYD-DRW evening flights and then the return redeye. Melbourne and Adelaide had the odd smattering of weekend fares and there were a few more weekend flights for Brisbane - but they sold out rapidly ... I got through to the last page and hit purchase only to have it throw up an error message saying that there were no more seats at that price (so presumably JQ doesn't take inventory out of a bucket when you click book but only when you go through all their screen (don't get me started) and then hit purchase.

Oh but they are - actually now $95 ex. BNE... slightly more from other capitals.

Worth noting that Feb 21st is the BNE QF AGM if you'd like to fly down from DRW on that day

Good to see this will have another event, despite our small group of three it was quite enjoyable! Sadly, I'll still be in the states in February and so will not be able to make it.

My first preference is the 21st (Saturday) as no work the next day but am available all 3 nights - Calling Captain Halliday and ChasingDaylight

I can do either Friday or Saturday. Am working the Sunday, but as I don't drink much Saturday night isn't an issue.

Venue....... good question. I'd suggest somewhere at the waterfront as a possiblity, or perhaps one of the restaurants at Sky City?

Saturday 21st works best for me. 20th would be a maybe and 19th I definitly can't do. Apologies for the slow reply, I wanted to be sure about what date would work.

Im happy to consider options at the waterfront... Or try a place called Moorish in town which a few people have recommended, but I haven't been to yet.

Saturday 21st it is. I like the sound of the Waterfront - I think ozbeachbabe recommend a few options there on outlast get together. Moorish is also fine by me, what do you think ChasingDaylight?
