To celebrate cheap JQ35 fares with Tiger back, there will be a Champagne appreciation event in Sydney on Aug 27 with a few AFF members flying JQ35 at the F lounge, or perhaps a wake given its three days after Aug 24 ;). $53 price beat with Tiger at the moment.

Dammit - have to work.

But I will pre-sample for you the week before on Sun 21st, then post-sample (to check against your reported experiences) again in MEL on Fri 2nd :)

Thanks markis10,

We'll look into trying to do this.

Oops. Can't do as we will be attending my mothers 85th birthday dinner in Canberra.

Tempting, but the cheapest Tiger fares are only $20 or so less than JQ35 anyway. If they had their $39/49 fares, i'd be there but I can't really justify $200 odd for a few hours at the moment (damn GFC 2.oh;))

Hope there is not an enhancement on the 24th - and we lose access to F lounge when flying JQ:evil:

Maybe drinks in MEL as well that night, I will bring my half Taittinger bottle from the free mini bar .

Whilst I can't make it, I expect you to live up to the title and sample the Champagne! With some tasting comparisons, please... :)

Well I promise to do a better F lounge trip report this time, since I got in trouble for the lack of effort last time .

I'm tempted.....probably fly straight back to Syd that day unless I can be tempted to stay O/N in Mel.

Sent from my GT-I9000 using AustFreqFly App

Tempting, but after the number of BIS miles I already have scheduled this month the last thing I want to do is book any more flights - so I will pass :)

Flying ORD-DFW-BNE-SYD-CBR tomorrow and there's at least another 8 flights to go this month after that :|

Pfft - calling yourself a frequent flyer

Chances are good that I'll make this, though need to be sober enough for a function that evening.

(Uh, assuming someone will guest me of course... )

Pity MEL-SYD has not got the same tiger specials to price match with on the day, given what we now know re checkin its possible to do both MEL and SYD F lounges using JQ services that day, I wonder if anyone at the transfer point has seen a D sticker presented before ;).

I haven't had a weekend at home in about a month, and there's some stuff that I want to do that weekend - and that's the first weekend where I might be able to do that :)
