Not too early - car reveals will happen soon.

Will Mercedes announce at car launch their second driver (or beforehand)?

Unlikely to be afterwards (IMO).

Do we have any confirmed dates for launches?

Looking forward to another year of F1, hopefully some good racing this year.
Not looking forward to the lack of FTA coverage.

Oh i thought it was late Jan / early Feb.

I'm sure there'll be plenty of news / gossip between now and then.

Heard this morning a proposal he be cosidered "Chairman emeritus" which is a respectful way to manage the situation.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emeritus

Emeritus (/ᵻˈmɛrᵻtəs/),[SUP][Note 1][/SUP] in its current usage, is an adjective used to designate a retired professor, pastor, bishop, pope, president, prime minister, or other personages.
In some cases the term is conferred automatically upon all persons who retire at a given rank, but in others it remains a mark of distinguished service, awarded to only a few on retirement. It is also used when a person of distinction in a profession retires or hands over the position, enabling their erstwhile rank to be retained in their title. The term emeritus does not necessarily signify that a person has relinquished all the duties of their erstwhile position and they may continue to exercise some of them.

So they are comparing him to the last pope?

My grandfather (now deceased) was an Emeritus professor

I think in my qute above the following sums it up:

. It is also used when a person of distinction in a profession retires or hands over the position, enabling their erstwhile rank to be retained in their title. The term emeritus does not necessarily signify that a person has relinquished all the duties of their erstwhile position and they may continue to exercise some of them.

Even for all that he's done for F1 to bring it to where it is today, I think it was time for his monopoly to come to an end.

As well as all that he did for Bernie. No doubt he has overseen F1 grow to become one of the worlds premier sports but he became a very wealthy man in the process. Retaining control through his many shady deals, often at loggerheads with the FIA and the teams.
i think the change of ownership will be good for the sport and I'm particularly looking forward to this season with all of its technical changes and hopefully the end of the Mercedes domination. Roll on March.

Who is planning to attend a race(s) this season? I always start thinking about attending one at the end of each season then other priorities take over and never end up making an event... this has been happening for probably 10 years now. :(
