Bit early for this thread but reports someone is trying to sell pictures of Michael Schumacher.

An alleged friend of Michael Schumacher is reportedly trying to sell a photograph of the injured Formula One driver lying in his bed at his Swiss home, for around £1 million ($1.71m).

Unlikely to be afterwards (IMO).

Heard this morning a proposal he be cosidered "Chairman emeritus" which is a respectful way to manage the situation.

My grandfather (now deceased) was an Emeritus professor

I think in my qute above the following sums it up:

Bernie Ecclestone has been removed from his position running Formula 1 as US giant Liberty Media completed its $8bn (£6.4bn) takeover of the sport.

Well almost:

Ecclestone, 86, who has been in charge for nearly 40 years, has been appointed chairman emeritus and will act as an adviser to the board.

As well as all that he did for Bernie. No doubt he has overseen F1 grow to become one of the worlds premier sports but he became a very wealthy man in the process. Retaining control through his many shady deals, often at loggerheads with the FIA and the teams.
i think the change of ownership will be good for the sport and I'm particularly looking forward to this season with all of its technical changes and hopefully the end of the Mercedes domination. Roll on March.

For those with 250k+ HHonors points, just got an email regarding an F1 experience at MEL with McLaren Honda team.

Who is planning to attend a race(s) this season? I always start thinking about attending one at the end of each season then other priorities take over and never end up making an event... this has been happening for probably 10 years now.
