Virgin Australia Business Flyer is the airline's loyalty program for small to medium businesses.

If you're unfamiliar with this program, you can read our guide here:

This thread is for discussion about the VA Business Flyer program. :)

Currently no business seats on planes Perth to Darwin and Perth to Adelaide. Planes don't have them. NO Virgin Lounge in Darwin either.
When will this change. I don't want to cram in economy especially not with the covid plague in crowds. Who knows who I will be sitting shoulder to shoulder with.

I didn't know Business Class comes COVID free.
Maybe not
but you are not sitting so close to the passenger/stranger in the next seat. The renewed aircon comes from the front and you only share the toilet with max 8 people and the crew, providing the flight attendants keep the economy passengers from removing the cable across the aisle and sneaking in to use the loo.

I received a gratis $50 voucher into my VA BF travel bank (seperate to my personal travel bank) but I don’t seem to be able to access it. My dashboard shows a $50 balance but my BF login details don’t work on the ”corporate” travel bank. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

If I just use my VFF details, it just shows I have $0 balance there (as expected).

I joined VABF in Sept last year, but did nothing with it until this new year when I remembered to put my ABN into my bookings. Finally got around to seeing how the thing worked and realised I should have been making bookings through the business portal.

Called the business line - no probs; send an email with the flights in question so they can check ACN recorded and, by the way, you can do a retro claim for flights where no ABN attached to booking.

Sent an email with all the PNRs (booked on Virgin with ACN plus those prior booked with no ACN) and asked how to proceed.

Got a reply within an hour!! Addressed my query directly and clearly - how to make a retro claim and that the Virgin site bookings with ACN are definitely in the system.

How often does that happen? A quick reply that actually answers the question!

Thanks for the heads up. I just registered for the Business Flyer, but flew back from Melbourne on Virgin on Sunday. I'll see how I go getting it counted, although it was before I registered for the scheme.

As a follow up to joining the Business Flyer scheme, I also applied for a status match - I'm VA Gold but that expires at end Feb, and I would have dropped down to VA Silver. I'm currently Qantas WP, so I applied for the status match on Wed morning and got a response just after noon that day, confirming the status match was approved. So, VA Plat until Feb next year - I'm very happy with that.

Similar for me. VA Business Gold awarded the day after I applied with my QF Gold and ABN. I had dropped to VA Silver mid Feb. Now have another year of VA Gold. Thanks VA Business, and to AFF on how to apply. Very straight-forward.

Hoping to apply for status match (WP plat) but my Virgin Business account has been active for greater than 3 months (registered last year). Has anyone had trouble with this, some of the wording suggests the match is for "new accounts". Also - based on this thread sounds like VA Silver/ Gold members have still been able to avail of the match (unlike Switcheroo), is that right?

I applied today as an OWE (Finnair Plat) will report back.

Platinum status confirmation received today. Only applied 2 business days ago so a pretty fast turnaround.
Interesting. I applied for the status match with BA GGL (OW Emerald+) and was matched to VA Gold. I might send a follow up email.

Definitely do that. My first application was rejected because of some sort of email address mismatch. I sent them an email pointing out their own Ts&Cs which I had adhered to. Next day I was matched to Plat.

Did this today, and already have had my Gold status matched (had dropped back to Velocity Silver), however the review date has changed to just 3 months away? Did others only get 3 months of matched status, or did it keep your original review dates?
