Epiqure Bonus 8000 points for any 24 bottles

I was looking for the best (read: cheapest) deal to blow my cash on... when I really shouldn't!

If I buy two cases that'll also earn me the bonus for 4 cases in a year... so it's 16k for $300 :D

Is this open to everyone (ie people who join just for the offer)?

PS. I followed the link but didn't see any special offer

Got it in an email, blurb at bottom os email states:

# Receive 8,000 bonus points when you purchase 24 bottles or more in a single transaction. Offer ends 5 December 2012, but may be extended. While stocks last. Allow up to 6 weeks for points to appear in your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.

Dont see why not, you get 2K for the first 12 of 24 you order, plus 8K, so thats 10K total, and another 16K for the second dozen as a new member in your first year, so $600 gets you 26K (plus 1800 at 3 points per $) and 52 bottles of pretty decent wine (I bought the Xaviers before and it was a great drop).

On clicking checkout a blurb popped up informing me of the offer:

Qantas epiQure members will receive 8,000 bonus points when they purchase 24 bottles or more in a single transaction*. Please note, full points earn will not appear on your tax invoice however will be credited to your account within six weeks. *Terms and conditions apply.

However the total points including bonuses didn't appear at the last page before paying, as happens when there are bonus points associated with a case.

Not a bad offer this week: Receive 8,000 bonus points when you purchase 24 bottles or more in a single transaction. Offer ends 5 December 2012, but may be extended. While stocks last. Allow up to 6 weeks for points to appear in your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.

Hmm 2 x this for a total of $300!

Were these the wines you were referring to in the other thread about the free membership when you said, "the $150 mixed dozen with bonus is a real cracker"?

You also mentioned 2,000 point bonus with the first dozen purchased, so would it be possible to use the 10% discount (15% discount doesn't work) on a single mixed dozen, reducing the price to $135.00, plus receive 2,000 bonus points + 405 points (3 per $) whatever card points? Pretty good deal! Is any code required for the 2,000 bonus points, or are they automatic?

The bonus points for the first dozen and first 48 ordered in your first year may not apply with the 10% discount which says not to be used with any other offer, or it may, its very ambiguous, the 10% off I expect will not work with the 8K per 24 weekly offer, the 15% discount finished Sunday. And the $150 offer is the "cracker" given the bonus is worth circa 100-120 at auction.

No, you will loose the bonus!

Really...didn't see anything that suggested that would be the case?

I can't read anything to that end either. Perhaps on a case where bonus points are part of the offer, but the 8000 bonus points isn't tied to a specific case, or spend, but to how many bottles you buy. I'm tempted to be thrifty.

There is a post from DeKa to that end, but it was on a case with included points, not exactly the same as this. Certainly when I got to the end of checkout process without the voucher my order total did not mention the 8000 I would get from the 24 bottles in one Tx. However a couple weeks ago when I purchased a case with included bonus points, they were noted on the final screen.

Hmm, wary all round...

Thanks for the heads up markis10 - just snagged 2 cases myself. Looks good value and a heck of a way to get an extra 8,000 points!

Thats what you should do if you want to go to 4 dozen, as I suggested in an earlier post.
