Don't you hate it when they wipe off your SC's you've accrued.... all the tiring flights in that damn seat wiped off... having to start from scratch again... ><... kill me now...

I did ok this year 1,620 SC's... but they're giong to disappear...

Know the feeling - lost 2120 last month.

Though somewhat better given I have about 1500 booked in the next month. Will lock in WP till Jul-12 and probably a year longer.

Argh don't take it that badly. At least your LT status doesn't get wiped (at least until you reach LTG anyway).

I'm surprised you rank 1,620 SCs as being merely "OK". Can't imagine what you class as "good" or "outstanding", but it would certainly outdo me any day. (I believe in the "just enough" principle when it comes to SCs....)

31/08 is my review date also. I've been WP for the last 12 years with Partner Gold for a good part of those. I also have Life Time Gold. I retired two and half years ago and have managed to avoid airports for most of that time! I was comped to WP last year but given I've had one flight ADL-MEL return this year for the huge sum of 20 SC's I'm not holding my breath. What is confusing is that I've still not received any correspondence telling me that I'll have to go back to LTG?? Anyone had any experience of this. Will I get a letter or just log on one day and find my status changed??

Cheers
JB

NM may have undergone such a year or two ago. Other than that, please report back. :D

Oh just the impression i got from this forum is that 1,620 is childs play...

Current status of 2,900 to be wiped in 2 mths, but probably reach 3,500 by then.

It's a real shame they don't keep track of SCs beyond 14,000 - just for the curiosity value. I told myself I'd keep track, but promptly forgot, and you can't check activity older than 12mths.

It probably is child's play for a Platinum but would be a lot of SCs compared to the majority of QFF members.

Put me in the category of not wasting SCs as well although with Lifetime Gold a realistic target now I will try to get as many SCs as possible each year.

I know the feeling gumpy. Mine will also reset to zero in December and without any type of promo and the NAN J Runs coming to an end, l will "almost certainly struggle" to make Gold next year as my travel plans are changing in a very big way. Getting WP Comped will be the only way for me l think. (Then again, AFF is a "treasure trove" of info and l'm also being optimistic that something will pop up within the next 12 months).

This year, the following 3 good sources of SC's came to light to me;
NAN J Runs
QF x2 SC Promo
CX Asia runs

The AA SC Runs are still out there, but are getting more expensive as time passes.

Still, glad to have made WP once in my life.

Happy travels

I too will have 1745 SC's wiped off at midnight which isnt a bad effort for all Y flights around Aus/NZ/SE Asia.
Into 4th year as WP and all indications are good for retaining thru 2012, just over 80% toward LTG now so that is firmly in my sights!!

I would love to get over 1400sc / annum but am nowhere near that :(

160sc got wiped off my account for my membership year end (30 June) LOL

Holy mother of... how do you get so many? J/F class everywhere? Someone like you could start a 2nd account for the fun of it...

DONE4? what have you booked?
A DONE4 is a 4 continent round the world business class airfare with up to 16 segments and if maximised properly can earn ~2,000 SCs if not more.

:) I think gumpy's perhaps-ill-worded post does not imply he doesn't know what a DONE4 is, but rather he's asking whether moa999's high number of SCs was achieved with/by aid of a DONE4, otherwise what else did moa999 book in order to get that many SCs.

presently
SYD-LHR-GIB-LHR-JFK-MIA-DFW-ANC-ORD-EWR-LAX-HKG-TPE (1430 SCs) (helped by 720SCs in AA First)
tagged to a TPE-HKG-SYD (CX ex-TPE fare) (160 SCs)
although thinking of switching EWR for BOS.

Not fully maximised and missing two segments I have already flown and two that may be underutilised :)
As booked was a 1760SC itin, a few tweaks and it could have been 1960SCs (eg DXB not GIB, DEL not TPE, LHR-LAX, JFK-HKG but I didn't have that much time to cross the US back and forth and wanted to go to a few places specifically).

I think a well planned DONE4 (in the new 16-segment rules) can still crack the 2000 SCs point.

Also on JohnKs note - the DONE4 does not have a mileage or a stopover limit - that is the Qantas oneworld award I think.

Apologies if I got the wrong impression from the post?

Another apology is in order. Best I edit the post so as to not confuse anyone.
