This would have to be the BEST lounge I have ever been in - a Qantas lounge wow - so impressed. The food is amazing, the service wonderful, the drinks phenomenal - they have coughtails! I chose the 'Monkey' - a signature coughtail with a Vodka base. And Verve is flowing people! I sample the buffet, and order both the A La Carte options - 'Hot and Fragrant Prawn Stir fry' and ' minute Steak with Cafe de Paris Butter and Steamed beans' - lord I am full and I haven't even sampled the desserts yet!!

Question - is this the 1st Class Lounge? Is Chairman's Club attached?

No, it's not a first class lounge. and I don't believe there is a CL attached..

P1 and Cl members do get some extra benefits though.. mainly around shower availability and services iirc. But the vast majority of people wouldn't notice them....

Woohoo for the Vueve! and coughtails.
Early reports were Australian sparkling was on offer (not necessarily a bad thing), and off to the Emirates lounge if you need a fix of Champagne

Have to agree. This is the BEST lounge we've been in. Top marks to Qantas they have done an amazing job.

Sounds like some good changes have been made since I was there two weeks ago, better book another trip to check it out!

The laksa I had would give any Penang laksa seller a run for their money. Partner said the minute steak was also excellent. The matching wine and Tiger beer were a nice touch. Staff were very friendly and attentive, and they really seemed proud of their new digs. As a lowly SG flying JQ I honestly felt undeserving in what's clearly a first class lounge.

The tables with charging points (universal AC and USB) are an excellent new addition, though I only got a working one on my third table.

Will check that comparison out after I arrive in SIN from Malaysia in a few weeks :) I scheduled my flights home specifically to have 4 hr transit in SIN just to give this new lounge a good road test. Hope they keep up the momentum!

For those saying it's the best they've ever been to, how does it compare to the SYD or MEL F Lounges? (seriously)

I honestly felt undeserving in what's clearly a first class lounge.

Perhaps I should qualify that and pretend that my "first class" reference in lower case was deliberate. I've never been in either of the First Class lounges at SYD or MEL, but at the same time I've never been in a Business lounge that's as good as the new SIN lounge. Look forward to hearing some comparisons though!

Not even close.

I agree, the food selection is on par with other lounges except for the cook to order stuff, which needs to be expanded to more than a selection of two. The drink selection was good but not a standout, reports that french bubbles are available is good as it shows things are being tweaked.

Decor - OK, Showers not as good as SQ. Comparable to the Wing or Syd/Melbourne F lounges or EK DXB F, no, not in the same league. And restricted hours of ops are not great.

Agree. Was there last night and overall very impressed. The steak was a beauty.

Has anyone got the latest cook to order menu?

When I was there in April, it was either the Salmon or beef noodles.

They're both delicious, and the staff would be happy to recommend a matching wine for either. But remember to leave room for dessert! :)

Will take your word for it for now, have organised a visit Sunday week to confirm ;)

I am visiting in a few weeks for the first time as well, sounds delicious!
