The Qantas Singapore Lounge

Does anyone know if I would be able to access the QF lounge if departing on MH from another terminal at Changi? I'm not sure if my MH boarding pass would let me move airside between the terminals or not.

You can move freely between the terminals.

I was there about a month ago, the previous F lounge is now a J lounge so it is like a J+ lounge in a lot of ways. Only problem I had is that they apparently have decided not to give a boarding call for the AY flight SIN-HEL where they used to. I was travelling J on AY SIN-HEL and would expect at least a boarding call, would be interesting for Red Roo to pass on the reason as to why AY boarding calls have ceased from the SIN lounge as they are a OW member

Seconding this. Another AY pax SIN-HEL coming up (actually 3 of us).

Visited for the first time last night, thoughts below:

Pros - Service was good, food was excellent (had the cook to order fish, outstanding)

Cons - Shower pressure was poor (no rainforest shower head), the space feels very open and 'barn-like', there isn't really and nice quiet corners to get away from the hoi-polloi and the design reminded me of the 'market' style Coles used a couple of years back!

The lounge is nice. Better than the old lounge except for the lack of desktops and printing facilities. Better than a lot of international lounges I have visited.

At a minimum that is what I would expect in an international lounge.

Would I rave on about it? No....
given the OP is SG, I would suggest it may have been the best QF lounge they have yet experienced.

Exactly. You can't compare it to the F lounges in Syd/Melb like some members on here have. Its like comparing a c63 to a Murcielago.

QF faces tough competition from the Asian airlines these days, guess that having a better than average SIN lounge and a few unexpected lurks and perks is a good place to start

True. But I still would not refer to it as phenomenal.

I have experienced some recommendations that people on AFF rave on and on about and I cannot see all the fuss. Virgin is a classic example.

But I guess that is why we are all different and our expectations are different....

Going to be travelling on QF from SIN in a couple of days time. Is the EK lounge in SIN worth a visit? Can I access this lounge as SG?

After visiting the EK lounge, can i still use the QF lounge?

Got to visit the EK lounge in SIN.

1. Good view of the runway
2. Champagne - Veuve (this is the main reason to visit!)
3. Great service - the staff assist you with drinks and the chef even handed me cutlery
4. Not as busy as the QF lounge

QF Lounge in SIN

Live cooking menu:
-Grilled Fish Sicilian with Cauliflower Puree (2012 Whale's Tale Sauvignon Blanc)
-Stir Fried Wagyu Beef with Baby Eggplant (2010 Voyager Estate Girt By Sea Cab Merlot - not Grit by Sea as printed on the lounge menu!)

1. Fantastic staff - one of them even remembered I was there last month and he said the menu items have changed and took me through all the new food since my last visit.
2. Good Australian wine, pity about the champagne (Salinger).
3. Live cooking station has 2 choices with matched wines.
4. Knowledgeable staff (when asked questions about food and wine)
5. Great, fun atmosphere when travelling alone
6. Plenty of waiters coming around asking for drink orders (even in the most tucked away corners)
7. Feels like a well managed Australian lounge, great team, good humour and definitely feels like you aren't in Singapore

Red Roo: Any chance of getting a Singapore Sling put on the coughtail menu? (In addition to the Rooster and Monkey signature drinks)

Thanks for sharing your experiences from both lounges. I've passed on your comments, including the new coughtail suggestion. Hope to welcome you back to the SIN lounge again soon. :)

As an SG can I access this lounge if my flight later on the same day is on Jetstar in Y ?
And can I guest my brother (no QFF status) who will be on the same flight ?

Thanks
