Prob cheaper to just buy Scoot tickets after you factor in QFs taxes etc They have also been pretty stingey in not releasing any premium awards 330 days out like they used to.
It's all well and good earning with AA, BA etc instead of QF.. but at the end of the day if QF are not releasing premium seats at 330 days like they used to (and may not at all on a flight) it makes their program a little less desirable.
Ha - AJ leaving... as if. the guy will hold on for as long as possible. It's his gravy train. Even the Jetstar CEO saw the writing on the wall that AJ wouldn't be leaving anytime soon and decided to pack it in rather than wait another 5 years.
If you aren't ticket on the same PNR then even if it was T1 to T1 you would have still needed to collect your luggage and recheck. If on one ticket then the bags would be tagged through so you could use the airside transfer bus.
Rex and DL have not even mentioned they will be frequent flyer partners. QF interline with all sorts like Lufthansa and Thai Airways... doesn't mean anything other than being able to sell the flights on one ticket and thus allowing you (and your bags) to be checked in all the way through.

Amex Plat Charge card- spent 100k over last 12 months. Called to cancel ok Ill do that now for you. Make sure you cancel all direct debits etc. I then ask if they have an offers to stay. No - no offers I'm closing your card. Card is closed.
QF/QR only have a relationship because of Oneworld requirements. Given QF's partnership with EK it is not surprising. You can't even have DOH as a start/end point on some QFF searches so I would say the restriction comes from QF not QR.
