I wouldn't be surprised if its the result of the QF/QR relationship. I mean QF even restrict your from entering DOH as a start point for FF reward bookings on their site.

Whats the big deal with an interline agreement. If REX were a real airline they would already have interline agreements with a tonne of airlines. Reminds me of the early days of Virgin Blue where they did a song and dance at every interline they got.

Good luck with the refund - I'm still waiting on one from a cancelled award booking in November last year... Every time I call I get told to wait another 8 weeks or it is being processed check in 5 days.

Yep I was in the same boat and after several calls of being told that it's not their problem as it's not a QF flight the only option I had was to cancel as they wouldn't re route me on any other airline or their metal via London. Gives me zero confidence booking a QF partner reward in the future.

It's a false economy.. calling the SA/FJ call centre may be quicker to get through but you'll spend an hour on hold with them as they can't do the most simple task and will have to call the ticketing desk.. plus you risk being hung up on as they do so well.
