I have just booked a trip to Hongkong for next month; my advice from my contacts there was that I am unlikely to experience any problems. Interestingly, QF currently has an "Asia Sale" fare promotion going (ends 20/9) but it does NOT include HKG!

Actually I don't think I have ever transited at MNL, desoite having gone to/from vast numbers of times. There is definitely a transfer bus between the terminals, but I believe it is landside, so you will have to clear customs/immi at both ends. Since you have plenty of time to make the transfer...

I tried this yesterday and it was a bloody disaster! To cut a long story short, after 5 failed attempts to book a simple return J fare (either the booking was tejected or resulted in an unticketed booking) and more than an hour on webchat and phone to a SQ agent, I finally got a ticketed booking...

Thanks for posting this: I got the e-mail too, but the default Gmail display truncated the end portion which included the SQ offer! Very handy as I will be booking an SQ flight in the next few days...

Even then, SQ get it wrong sometimes: several times on f->J transits at SIN, I have been directed to the J lounge despite my BP clearly showing F lounge access.

I seem to recall that the website has always said something like this; maybe it is just a backstop clause to protect them in case of problems. In practice, over a very long time, my MR transfers have almost always taken no more than a day.

Agreed: if you are a bit broad shouldered as I am, it feels a little claustrophobic.

Same with me! I got a verification SMS last night at 11:17PM despite not having accessed my a/c for some days. i have checked my a/c (still requires no 2FA!, as i noted above) and it looks OK.

Since the change came in, I have logged in a few times using the "questions"; now it is no longer asking me for any supplementary login info at all, just FF#, name and PIN get me in as they did previously.

Yeah, would be nice if they reinstated the F lounge/checkin for PPS, given the dwindling numbers of actual F seats and the fact that F lounges seem to be ghost towns whenever I get into them! There can't be all that many PPS's; since I have been PPS I have never once failed to get seat 11A or...

No longer the case: 50K a year is all you need to earn in the first place. This was changed some years ago.
