Hi, Does anyone know how many Qantas Platinum frequent flyers there are?

Not publicly disclosed.
If you search you may find some previous threads.

PlatinumOne's are in the thousands, and Platinum will be some multiple of that.

I'm sure many at QF know the exact number. For the rest of us it's unobtainable commercial in confidence. As above there have been some attempts to guess and it's probably a fairly large number, considering how busy the J lounges can be (there aren't that many seats in J) and how many platinums can be on a golden triangle flight.

Probably been a significant uptick in the last 12 months with three DSC offers last year and one at the start of this year. Will fall back down if they die off -- been all quiet since February ...

Too many.... Also, don't forget too that for every P1, there is likely an additional WP (particularly given the rules were relaxed to be able to gift to anyone).

You're right, especially when boarding flights, noting that SG also gets to line up in priority lines. :p

What would be really interesting would be the percentage of WPs in each capital city and even on some specific flights. My estimate is that CBR would have a very high percentage of WPs on peak hour flights.

Of course this data is so valuable that it would never be released.

I found interesting last night having flown on QF36, pretty much all upper deck in economy were platinum FFs.
With all the DSC promos, you can tell there has been a significant increase of platinums.
