I just tested this further with a couple of my bookings. It seems like bookings made with points you can cancel without being logged in but you need to log in to make changes. However for cash bookings, MMB will let you change and cancel the flight even if not logged in.

I've had it happen a few times even with Hobart. Sometimes they simply forget to apply the fee waiver. Never a big issue to get it fixed. Each time I've called reservations they've said "well that shouldn't have been charged" and had it reversed.

OAG is another one that has gone from Q200/300 to Q400 for some flights. In the schedule for later on this year, MIM is also scheduled to go from Q200/300 to Q400 for some flights.

I believe the current on-market Optus plans include this by default which was one of the only difference between those and the Qantas SIM only plans. It would have been nice if they had of included it to bring the plans into parity, but it's a moot point now.

I've had a bus a couple of times at MEL. Once on a QF 787 from LAX. Last year I was on a JQ 787 from SGN that actually parked at a JQ domestic gate at T4 and we were bussed back to T2.

When I first got mine it was bad especially if there was any humidity. It has gotten better over time. I keep mine in a leather sleeve.

They work no problems with the bag tracking function in the app. Used a Q Bag Tag as recently as yesterday and no issues tracking it.

The assignment of gates at SYD T1 is managed by SACL. If the airport is busy then any airline could be assigned a remote stand.

QF are using a third party platform called Spotnana to show bookings in the QBR portal. On the plus side, it does actually show ticket numbers which is sorely lacking from the normal QF MMB.

Once it’s been enabled for you the old URL will just start redirecting to the new one so no way to reverse the direction of the change that I’ve been able to find 😕

Agreed. As it stands now if Uber was a dollar or two more expensive than DiDi the 1 point per dollar would tip me over but now I wouldn't even bother with Uber.
