Qantas Advertises "Fully Refundable" - but it Isnt!

That's really strange to declare Qantas is a "true international airline" and in the very same sentence say that you don't know what that means. How did you determine this if you don't know what "true international airline" means? Is it any wonder that such subjective positive declarations...

Qantas Advertises "Fully Refundable" - but it Isnt!

Actually, that's a misrepresentation of what it says. Qantas tell us explicitly: 1. that the money is lost if you let it lapse. 2. That you get a refund if you pay for the airfare. 3. That they do not hold the fare. There is no explicit advice about cancelling. Inferring something that is not...

Qantas Advertises "Fully Refundable" - but it Isnt!

You might like to read your screenshot again. Even as an outsider, I'm pretty sure I know the meaning of "fares get adjusted".

Qantas Advertises "Fully Refundable" - but it Isnt!

Someone might want to lock in (HOLD) the fare until the card statement is issued and thereby get more points when the monthly points cap is reset, or defer payment to the next statement. Except of course the fare hold doesn't actually hold the fare...

Qantas Advertises "Fully Refundable" - but it Isnt!

Gee you're really hung up on this one line for you defence of qantas. Anna is not talking about the situation of not paying on time. That condition is irrelevant. Where is the condition that states what happens if you cancel the booking?

Qantas Advertises "Fully Refundable" - but it Isnt!

That's not correct. It depends on the conditions of the sale contract.. Fully refundable is the condition in the case of question.

Qantas Advertises "Fully Refundable" - but it Isnt!

Even better is the next condition down that says they don't actually hold the fare that you've just paid to put on hold. "Note than total ticket price may change..."

    What cheeses me off

    Scams like these

Good on you. That doesn't change what they're trying to do. Seriously, go watch the videos on the you tube channel. PLENTY of examples of the complex version. Never seen one where their just sting someone for $49. They remote into your computer. Get you to log in to internet banking. The...

    Scams like these

Yeah, they're aimming for way more than $49. Thousands of $$$$$$ You probably don't need to google what they do with itunes gift cards. Itunes is a store where some people sell goods to buyers. The sellers must have a way to withdraw their income. It is not hard to set up a seller account. My...

    Scams like these

Seriously you don't know? They get the person to connect to the computer with remote desktop, or similar. Tell them have to process a refund. The refund requires the person to log into their bank account. The scammer edits the HTML or perhaps a terminal window to make it look like their refunded...

Priority / International Business check in for QFF Silver

I read that as being about the availability of Business counters, that is the only thing in the sentence that has optional availability.

Tokyo Haneda slot - how will Virgin Operate it?

Don't all airlines just fly off with no plans for diversion and refuelling for unusual situations?

Tokyo Haneda slot - how will Virgin Operate it?

It's actaully about supply chains. All 'A' vehicles in the Australian army use diesel, as do many 'B' vehicles. Gotta Resup a combined arms group? - Diesel for all.

"What makes you think YOU'RE allowed to board?" - Shocking priority boarding experience

I don't agree My comment is NOT about the OP. It is about how the customer service person's potential experiences with people, who are NOT the OP, might have clouded their judgment. Thanks for sharing what you think, not relevant to my point.

I'm pretty sure there are still piston engine aircraft getting around.

"What makes you think YOU'RE allowed to board?" - Shocking priority boarding experience

I'm sorry but I'm going to be a bit more moderate to the situation and not jump on the crucifixion band wagon. they're in customer service, they see all sorts of cough everyday. I've seen lots of very strange behaviour from people who are ESL, and may or may not have certain physical...

"What makes you think YOU'RE allowed to board?" - Shocking priority boarding experience

Having just been a special guest for a conference in Indian that's not how the name situation was explained for Southern India. In Southern India the have 1 name only. That's there name. They use the father name as an identifier, and usually only the initial of the fathers name. The father of...

    What cheeses me off

Fair point. I'm probably not at that level. Either maybe on the 1 or 2 bags level - 10 items max, can often just carry them loose and if not put them back into the trolley. Or full sized trolley, that's full. - 6 to 10 bags. depending on who does the packing lol

    What cheeses me off

By messenger I'm referring to me pointing out the obvious contradiction in the video (my message). No, actually, he clearly outlines the reason for such a big downgrade, in great detail. It's a scam. IMO ironic to then cry about the downgrade as if it is a travesty, denial of justice for poor...
