    Epernay or Rheims

Supplementary question, if i can. Is it worthwhile, as in cheaper to buy champers there and bring it back? Does anyone have experience with local prices per bottle? Am I likely to save enough to make a wine suitcase a viable investment?

    Virgin Australia Middle Seat Lottery

Finally read the thread, LOTSA peeps saying wouldn't be caught dead in a middle. Thanks for sharing. Not sure how that info helps, but great to know. A recent flight with family the original flight got cancelled, due to crewing (I checked in lounge, in case I had additional expenses to claim)...

    What cheeses me off

OK, I know it was our *second* date, but still ...

Hmm, the whole J cabin not being there is a bit of a furphy really. 1. Harder to search? NO! Not at all. When searching to book a flight the fact that business is not available to buy is a massive hint. 2. Downgraded? Ring and ask to change flight to one with business. One of my business...

    Booking flight change experience

Overall, I'm happy with how things turned out. I might be delusional to be happy, so I thought I'd ask the opinions of others. Plus also check my knowledge of how virgin handles changes to bookings. I had a double status weekend trip to Cairns booked via Brissy, getting home approx. 9 pm...

Article: When Priority Isn’t Really Priority

Can only disagree about virgin. priority luggage and boarding almost always works. Qantas - almost never

The definitive thread on Qantas IT gripes

My solution was really weird. Called them, gave them the most recent failed booking, booking reference. They verified who I was, asked some card details - type, last 4 digits. Spent about 15 minutes on hold while they "verified" the transaction. Came back, said all good - you've got 15 minutes...

The definitive thread on Qantas IT gripes

I'm currently battling Qantas hotels, refuses to book some error. ISTR a solution or reason for the problem. Can someone remind me, is this caused by trying to use the $50 point club voucher? I've tried 3 cards, 3 computers, phone app and 2 browser. given the hotel price has increase $50 now...

    Epernay or Rheims

I think this is the key point, they're all going to be wonderful. Just vacillating over which town to stay in... Edit: I just looked up Sabage. I've seen it, didn't know the correct terminology. I'm confused by the concept, very decadent for sure. But it just wastes good bubbles, and I'd be...

    Epernay or Rheims

I've got 2 nights coming up in Champagne region. Can't really decide between staying in Epernay or Rheims. Epernay looks good for the Avenue de Champagne. Rheims, I guess is more traditionally the place to go. Any experiences to share?

Just when you thought you had seen it all in the Qantas lounge...

They seemed to be together when getting off, and both had double masks. I'd come in from Mumbai on SQ the night before. Border force asked if there was any bark, since the timber was like a trophy stand, they weren't bothered... For enquiring minds, I avoided tap water in India Tried real hard...

Just when you thought you had seen it all in the Qantas lounge...

Clearly a model pax, I don't even recall you on the flight. I did find the couple in 1A and 1E to be entertaining. They were wearing both a surgical mask and an N95 mask when they disembarked. lol I was back in row 2 wondering if border force was going to let me keep my wooden gifts from the...

Just when you thought you had seen it all in the Qantas lounge...

True, but the next person touches those tongs, and then eats something else using that hand. "germs" transfer on to tongs, just as well as onto food...

A reply that contradicts your previous claim that using hands is NEVER acceptable. And that is the issue the absoluteness of the claim that it is always unacceptable to not use tongs, regardless of situation. Based on experience I know you're not going to understand my point, so I've got...

Just when you thought you had seen it all in the Qantas lounge...

Seriously food etiquette is to have clean hands and to not contact other people's food. It really doesn't matter how you achieve those two fundamentals. I was on that flight. what seat were you in? Yeah, not really at all. I reckon dajop has covered my comment. People touch the tongs...

    A330 international business

thanks for the extra info. I see the OP got the 2000s version and I got the 1980s version a few days apart. So perhaps it is by route or something. But it seems clear that the same version will be given to all on the one flight.
