1 May - so around 3 months in advance. I thought that they'd go quickly with the double SC offer
Thankfully the double SC covers August international flights - and my review date is end of August so good timing all round
Thats a key driver for me along with Business lounges for domestic travel - plus the general benefits of WP in terms of status over those lowly SG's :D
- which I've been for many many years!
Like Tony said WP seems to be the new SG
For me it was 120,000 points and $693.98
QF1 - A380 up and QF6 - 747 back
Very happy with that package (plenty of points to use)
I've never been able to find it any cheaper than 120,000 points for the return (even via Adealide)
520 SC's
Syd-Mel - 40
Mel-Asp - 60
Asp-Syd - 80
Syd-Bris - 40
Bris-Syd - 40
then the double offer applied
and with a JASA - Syd-Sing-Syd coming up in early August that will be another 480 incl double SC's
and then I'll be WP (first timer) - gee I hope some people are losing their WP status...
Each flight generates a seperate SC entitlement
I think it's good value as a JASA
I did a similar one earlier this month - Syd-Mel-Asp-Syd-Bris-Syd - it was a long day but a great SC haul with double SC's
If I was you and you need the SC's I'd grab it quick!
Surely you wouldn't spend another dollar on such a poorly performing airline who clearly DYKWIA you
I'm guessing you will following the lead of the OP and move all your business to a competing airline and start your quest for status from scratch - that seems to be the preferred course of action...
I think you are suffering from jet lag - you're expectations are IMHO unreasonable - what were you expecting flashing lights and balloons on landing with your new found WP status?
Points and SCs normally seem to appear later the same day or in some cases the next day
Guess we'll just disagree then. Bottom line is they hold the initial power - but in the long term I'm the winner and can vote with my feet
So I will tolerate my short time with them - shame it didn't turn out to be a longer term relationship
I have several other bank/credit card relationships...
Shall we keep things in context...
I would have absolutely no issues with ANYONE talking to them about my being overcharged $149 and getting it fixed (I'd take my hat off to them as it seems all a bit too hard to comprehend for their "service" agents) - and I'd be ok with ANYONE arranging a...
Could not agree more - I will be cancelling as soon as the 30000 points are transferred
if that's the service they offer Platinum cardHolders then I wouldn't want to be a basic cardholder
I'm still trying to get the $149 fee they've charged me credited - several calls to their clearly...
Does that apply to J domestic as well I think? - at least that what I found with some bookings I had last week - I was in 3A until T-80 when 1 & 2 rows opened up for me to request
I didn't - but if you are going to comment then it's helpful it is relevant and focused rather than a generic link. But if that's all you feel competent to contribute then I can understand that. Thanks for your efforts.
Slightly off-topic...
The other day the FA touched my thing.....
Well she actually picked up my iPad and phone (which were turned off) and put them in the seat pocket (I was in 1A so got that extra attention) - I was a bit surprised actually as she didnt ask me to do it and the way she put the...
Thanks for nothing - the link provides nothing relevant to the discussion
if you have something specific that answers my question about what Privacy legislation covers the situation I've described above please feel free to post it
Please tell me what "legislation" you are referring to? I will be very interested in the specifics of your response
I think it's a myth and people just hide behind privacy....
Who else is going to ring them and want to discuss them incorrectly overcharging me? SeriOusly think about it- what...
Yes I know - I'll end up sucking up to them and complying to achieve that - doesn't mean I have to like it!
But I'm more interested to see they must be charging everyone the fee - wonder how many miss picking it up and get charged for it
It seems Jetstar have chosen a perfect match for their...
Good luck!
I just experienced the "service" from the centre after discovering they have charged me $149 for an annual card fee - despite what the Qantas site says about no fee for the first year. Not a great start
so the Philippines call centre person won't talk to me wothout ID questions - I...
