I thought the big news in that mail out was the ability to use velocity points to book ANA flights, albeit via the call centre. Not sure if you could do this before. Would be good if the points required were published somewhere.

I booked a China Airlines (CI) flight using QFF points. Trying to do seat selection on the CI website it is telling me the PNR is limited to CI bookings. Has anyone managed to do seat selection online? Thank you.

I am having this same problem now except mine was a Velocity points redemption for an SQ flight. It is a circle of stupidity and i have not been able to resolve it. All i want to do is select my seat. Maybe i will call SQ later and see if they can help.

Just to close the loop on this one. I assisted this person to lodge a complaint with AFCA. Two days after the lodgement and before the Citi rep had even made contact the points appeared in the VFF account. What a coincidence!

A word of advice- keep screenshots of offer conditions, screenshots of dates you provided FF number etc, when you call to chase them up keep a log of who you are speaking to and when and take notes of promises they make and by when. It all comes in handy when dealing with Citibank.
