Side note - my lounge invitations are now showing directly in the Qantas app, which is a neat enhancement. Also shows where the invitation came from (helpful when you apply for lots of credit cards).

Is it true that one needs to link the pass before the date of expiry and the date of flight is not relevant ?As the expiry is only linked to flight linkage and not the date of flight ?

Pretty sure that's not right.
The expiry date of the pass needs to be NOT expired when the pass is used - i.e. the date of the flight.
Both the flight and the expiry date needs to be within the expiry date.

Someone here said there is currently a glitch permitting what I mentioned and it’s been discussed in detail on another thread . Also he managed to use in that manner yesterday .

Yes. Post #306 details the tests applied. Basically Qantas checks that the flight is on or before the pass expiry date. Jetstar only checks that the pass is valid at the linking date. The flight can be after the expiry date.
