    Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

    I do drink riesling. A couple of years since I bought any St Hugo, cannot remember vintage, but was very nice. $20 a bottle sounds good.

    What I ate today - the food thread

    Hey there! Amazing food photos on the "What I ate today" thread. But perhaps we can add a different tier - a salute to home-cooked things, real food that does not involve restaurants? Something far from the stellar restaurant things that members do. Sheerly home cooking. So a rule, has to be...

    Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

    Hey, don't shoot the messenger :) In any case, I disagree with your advice to drink it on a flower day. That is ridiculous/primitive. A beauty like this is deserving of a coinciding super-moon exactly on the winter solstice.

    Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

    "The 2022 Diana Madeline is a culmination of over 50 years of dedication effort and respect for the land to make the best quality wine. The vintage was perfect for elegant cabernet sauvignon, with warm conditions early and then cooler conditions making it an epic vintage with reds ripening...

    Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

    This is not for the wine snobs, but for some of us who just enjoy the game in many ways: "Dozen deals" is a site I buy off every once in a blue moon. But a recent thing I liked. I got a dozen of the Prosperitas Icon Release 2021 McLaren Vale shiraz for $156 using code ProsperitasShiraz ($100...

    Article: Why I Send Airlines Compliments for Great Service

    Good article, and topic. I very much encourage anyone to put in positive feedback, even if it is a daunting, or at least uncertain, task. IMHO it is just so very much a better use of your own time than delivering negative feedback. I feel that feedback such as “XYZ is cough” or “I sufferred XYZ...

    EY J Singapore to Europe just over $3,000 return

    Sorry if off the main topic, but what are some options these days to get to SE asia (positioning flights?) these days in J. I have always seen there are better J deals to Europe ex-BKK/MNL/etc rather than ex-Australia, but never found a great way to get to these to start. Any advice appreciated...

    Jetstar business class menu

    My jetstar experiences are minimal. Flew once in Y to NZ, and swore "never again". Never have flown domestically. And only once in J, international, SYD (?) to HNL. At the time I was shocked at how coughty J was on Jetstar, but in fairness that was in a time I was doing zillions of J...

    Proposed Social Media ban for under-16 kids

    Agree. But even further, internet connections essentially are like a 24/7 bottleshop availability, where you can get the product delivered silently and free to whereever at whatever time. 1731317697 Exactly. An absolutely impossible.

    TV series discussion {'ware Spoiler Alert}

    I disagree :) Yes, it is far-fetched/non-sensical. A jet lands on a dirt road on an island, and later manages to also takeoff from this? Clearly ridiculous. But as much as I am sick of the main actor (Gerard Butler) I thought it was Ok as a light action time-filler....
