How many credit cards (personal) do you have?

Just three these days, with a combined limit of $51K. When I used to churn cards, I think I peaked at around eight, with a combined limit somewhere in the $70K's. When I was churning, I'd always opt for the lowest possible limit. When I gave up, but an Amex Explorer offer came along that seemed...

CBR farewell on 11 Oct to a valued member off to MEL.

I can't make this one either, sorry. I'll be on my way back from PER.

Unable to redeem $50 and strange charges from Qantas

The T&C's about not being able to use the $50 towards the co-payment on Award flights is definitely enforced...... I tried. The only flying that we're doing these days is CBR<>PER and we prefer the direct flights, even though it's only a 737-800. Trouble is, the direct flights last time we flew...

Unable to redeem $50 and strange charges from Qantas

I had a similar problem. My details were correct, but the Qantas IT system wasn't going to let me pass go until I updated them. I got around it by adding a superfluous character to my e-mail address and immediately deleting it. That was enough to trigger the option to submit an update, even...

Everyday Rewards launches Everyday Extra subscription product

I've decided not to continue beyond the trial period. It was having more of an influence on my shopping habits than I'm comfortable with. That's what WW is counting on, I guess.

Everyday Rewards launches Everyday Extra subscription product

No, they can't be stacked, they have to be separate transactions. Until recently I had 2 x $10 per month (well, 30 days) Woolworths Mobile pre-paid services (with the second one in Mrs 2905's name, and associated with her EDR card), but the services rarely got used for anything other then 2 x...

CBR Meet up at 1800 on 06 July at the Kingo

Count me in. I retired last month, so it's not like work is going to get in the way, lol.

    Flying with mask

Still an hour out of PER on a SYD-PER flight in Y, and I've pretty much decided two things: No more flying for me until the mask requirement has been dropped, and only if there are J award seats available. If that means never flying again (after getting back to CBR), then so be it.

Award flights ticketed but cash only taken for 1 pax

I've noticed a similar thing for flights that I booked on the weekend. Strange.

Australian Reports of the Virus Spread

Something's screwed up somewhere, then. I got my figure from the press conference as it went to air. It's now available at - 3:20 mark.

    New Amex statement credits

I sometimes wonder if the Amex Explorer card should be renamed to the Amex Footwear Explorer.

Vaccine Rollout in Australia - personal accounts.

I had my first Pfizer jab last Tuesday, at the relatively new facility near the Canberra airport. All very organised and efficient; about 25 minutes from go to whoa, including the 15 minutes of hanging around afterwards in case I keeled over. For the second dose, the booking system seems to...

    Pointless accumulating points?

I'd pretty much given up collecting points and churning credit cards until earlier this week when I jumped on the PH Amex Explorer offer.
