Qantas to Qatar through checking baggage query

You will find my experience in another thread about exactly this but it worked out - after long discussion and supervisor of supervisor intervention - at SYD check-in for QF SYD to Jakarta (reward) and then onwards on QR to Doha (paid). That was June 2023.

Classic Reward Schedule Change - Offered Alternatives

I would totally accept the change for the Dubai routing (and plan if it happens), and then see what happened at check-in.

Qantas Promises to Fix Ongoing Reward Flight Ticketing Failures

I would add the original ticket with the one PNR and the two pax and ask to „re-create“.

another one we missed is QF142 AKL 2 SYD (VH-XZF) that diverted back to AKL yesteray, and then left AKL for SYD after about 2 1/2 hours on the ground. AVHerald: The Aviation Herald

    Qantas Delays/Cancellations

Tonight‘s QF15 BNE to LAX apparently cancelled around 30mins ago, and ppl auto-rebooked in 4 days time without any other option in the app. If these allegations are true, chapeau Qantas…

Qantas, Virgin, Qatar called to assist with Israel repatriation flights

    1) I guess this was too short notice to sell a few tickets and all the related bureaucracy? 2) Theoretically, could they have flown directly SYD - LHR with the empty A380 as they did before but I think in the other direction?

Qantas, Virgin, Qatar called to assist with Israel repatriation flights

From SMH: „Qatar’s rival Emirates, which partners with Virgin’s rival Qantas, has also scheduled a repatriation flight to leave from Dubai to Sydney on Thursday. The airline does not yet know how many Australians will be on board. Qantas flew 241 Australians to London out of Tel Aviv on...

Qantas, Virgin, Qatar called to assist with Israel repatriation flights

Desperate times call for desperate actions - some Australians should be thankful to Qatar Airways (at least for once).

Qantas, Virgin, Qatar called to assist with Israel repatriation flights

I have just looked at the altitude/speed profile of VH-ZNN into TLV. Average sue speed was around 460 knots from LHR just to before TLV, then during descent the air speed seems to have jumped up to 738 knots with a steep descent. I guess they wanted to come down very steeply and very fast. I...

Qantas, Virgin, Qatar called to assist with Israel repatriation flights

Yes, loaded now in FR24 also as ASY1168 departing London at 7am, arriving in Tel Aviv at 1330 local time. VH-ZNN operating the leg. Interesting flight number using RAAF call sign. I assume they would have a few pilots on board, probably very senior and experienced ones with RAAF background?

    Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

As I said above, it took me one call, and it was fixed in less than 12 hours incl. a helpful call-back!

    Qantas Delays/Cancellations

While the AUS to SIN routes are already in disarray due to yesterday’s QF1 cancellation, QF81 did a stop over on Darwin today, and is now expected to arrive 2 hours late in SIN. Maybe a crew pick-up to sort out the mess in Singapore?
