Just an extra data point . There are exceptions to restrictions to thru check bags on one PNR only. Last year, I flew award MEL-LAX on QF and connected onto DFW on a paid AA flight. No problems !

Richard and colleagues I'll be travelling QF |MEL-LAX in J arriving 0850 and departing on AA at 1225 onto SFO . I'm oneworld emerald . I'll have BPs thru to SFO and bags checked thru. Can you walk me thru how to get from where i drop my post customs bags in TBIT and then get to the Qantas Lounge.

I agree with this suggestion but would go more for additional lounge invitations in lieu the Qantas Club membership!

I just wonder whether improvements will apply to non flight redemptions - will "toasters" get a bit cheaper - I'm not very hopeful about QFF enhancements particularly when managed by an accountant !

thank you . What confused me is that the oneworld code for an Alaskan business / first reward seat is "e". QFF can show flights for a reward when is no sight of any "e" codes available on seats.aero only "i".

Hi, Just some frustration arising from trying to book American Airlines and Alaskan flights with QFF points. I do use Seats.Aero which can be useful . As part of a OWA booking to Canada , I have tried to book Alaskan for west USA and Alaskan flights - virtually zip availability for business...

Thank you-have looked at indirect connections on AA via PHX,DEN, DFW and ORD. Nil can get me to SEA to connect with the Alaskan flight!

I agree-it's a 100% AA issue but..... Problem is that Alaskan connect me from SEA to FAI not AA and AA does not fly SEA to Anchorage or Fairbanks. The original AA conx LAX to SEA departed 0800,1400 and 1800. The 1400 no longer exists. If I catch the 1800 departure, there are no Alaskan reward...

I can vouch for that. I had , as part of a OWA, a connecting flight from Los Angeles to Seattle on American Airlines. in 2 months time. It departed at 1400 hrs ( I arrived in LAX at 0850 ) It connected with a Seattle to Fairbanks flight on Alaskan at 1930 . Nice "chest pain" free connection. AA...

I have found Helsinki a very efficient airport and under normal circumstances, it would be ok . I don't think baggage transfer is a big problem. There is only one flight per day HEL-BUD so not much flexibility. One option to request ahead overnight at AY expense in HEL and take the next days...
