Qantas Business Class meals & menus

QF12 LAX-SYD 10 Jan

Excellent crew and relatively quick dinner service for QF standards.
Good flavours, my beef was very chewy but partner's was tender.
Scrambled egg was surprisingly good.

However, the empanadas were "not available".

Thank you for posting that menu… exactly what I’ve been looking for!

CBR-SYD 17:40 QF Link. Single option of Asian pork noodles. No pic but it looked better than those already posted and was even tastier than my first sampling. Pretty good for such a short flight.
Excellent service from Alyssa. Trolley pre-loaded and down the aisle 90 seconds after seat belt sign switched off. Proof it can be done! Full cabin served (though a number were staff who declined a meal).

SYD-HBA 19:20 same aircraft and Tassie-based crew. Flight already delayed out of CBR and a further delay on the tarmac in SYD as a passenger was concerned about water in the emergency exit. Bottles of water passed around.

After take-off requested a wine and it was happily provided. Other J pax then asked for drinks as well. Food options were smoked salmon salad or chicken in cream sauce.

Very tasty, with good quality chicken. Only slight criticism is could have done with more green veg.

Not normally a sweet tooth but choc crunch sounded good...

...and it was.

Lightly loaded cabin so more relaxed service. Proactive right through to descent with top ups and snacks offered. Very good flights with a particular shout out to Alyssa for great service and kindness.

QF 3 AKL - JFK

Mushroom vol au vent was excellent! Prawn salad was good. Surprisingly, the beef was very tender and cooked just right - difficult to achieve in an aircraft galley. Dark chocolate cream with cake was a great way to finish off the meal.

Have mainly been flying VA J for MEL -> HKG and back, but now that they exited that route I switched back to QF.

Was going to post both QF29 and QF30, but got delayed 27hrs on the QF29 leg then cancelled and automatically rebooked on CX104 - which was a MUCH better dining (and product) experience.

Flew back on QF30 (HKG -> MEL)

Menu:

PDB provided, no Apertivo offered.

Potato soup was alright, wasn't anything too special. Too much oil for my liking

Got baited by the previous good steak pics and went for the same option. Big mistake. The green beans briefly "touched" some hot water, the steak was more than well done, but the potato was delicious.

Highlight of dinner was the Häagen-Dazs strawberry ice cream.

Breakfast was good - had 3 different pieces of tomato with different levels of "done-ness". All tasted very good, the wet spinach was a bit meh.

Very glad I went into Intervals Sky Bar & Restaurant with Priority Pass for a quick snack and camped out at the QF HK lounge to fill up before boarding.

QF881 OOL-MEL lunch served, were supposedly 3 options but i guess row 1 all took the same option which looked like a quiche.

I was first served in row 2 and offered a toasted ham and cheese sandwich or an egg and sun-dried tomato salad. Served with an orange friand and a muesli bar which I left. Was surprised no chocolate.

Made the mistake of eating the toastie and am now in the F lounge not hungry, but have time to build an appetite.

I have an 820am SYD-PER flight next week, flying Business as a surprise treat on my daughter's 16th birthday. What can we expect for breakfast? Anyone got any recent photos? Thanks!

QF643 SYD - PER.
Breakfast options were ham & cheese croissant, frittata or bircher muesli. I had the muesli and it was nice although I had already had it in the lounge prior. They had ran out of croissants by row 4.

The crew were lovely and sang Happy Birthday to my daughter and presented her with a tray full of Qantas goodies, including pj's, a hat, keyring and a KK donut. She was a bit embarrassed but I had a laugh. The 3 hour time difference meant she had an extra-long birthday!

I was on this flight recently and was also served some kind of quiche or breakfast frittata. I obviously made some expression on my face that gave away my opinion and so the CSM gave me 5,000 points. 🤣 She agreed the offering for a lunch flight was not optimal.

What I find strange/disappointing us that those options would seemingly also be on a SYD-BNE or other shorter flight. Transcon surely should get something(s) more? I mean a croissant on a transcon?

Of course a remonder of the days when VA seriously competed on product on the transcons and QF did make a bit more of an effort.

Having written that, a recent PER-MEL lunch svc was quite acceptable.

Breakfasts can be.. difficult.

Really glad at the birthday efforts though :)

Do these points count towards Points Club?? 😁

Low/no expectations and you shouldn't be disappointed. QF don't seem to over cater so don't expect to get what you hope for.

Yes I thought that too. I guess it was morning but there was no chocolate or ice cream later either, only a bag of shortbread with tea/coffee.

Well done, what is the process of getting the 5000 points into your account?
