Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

David Hall , boss of Jetstar on a recent flight MEL-DPS. The wife said to me (sitting in what passes for J in JQ). "That fellow in the 2nd row looks familiar", just I was flipping the pages of the Jetstar mag, to see his pic ! I overheard him say to his companion that he was to stay just the 1...

Incidentally, I suspect that some of you call Potato Cakes "scallops" because they are shaped like the shell of the mollusc.

    Suites savers now available

The stop must be less than 24 hours to be a transit stop. On one of our future trips we have a 19 hour layover , and that one is definitely transit , so no extra point cost.

    Suites savers now available

Many thanks for the advice and suggestions For the A380 we have selected 3C and 3D. I didn't like the possibility of being bumped. Since selection I note that 2C and 2D have now also gone. I like the idea of Cove "use a spare for dining and movies" For the 777-300ER we have opted for none of...

    Hilton and Garuda tie up

Ive never redeemed from them so don't know. I have recently flown with them and the quality is now quite good - full service airline, new planes, good prices. The point of this post is because of the 10x Hilton points. Surely worth signing up to Garuda even if no desire to ever fly.

Mrs Mandja and I, using our Platinum membership of Accor, booked a 2 night stay at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. One of the "features" of Platinum membership is supposedly "free" internet . Good thing too as the cost of that is "normally" a trifling $29.94 per night . Sadly this wasn't what...
