Qantas poor service with Delayed Flight missing connection

Please don’t let your boring facts get in the way of this thread ;) :)

Virgin Australia and passenger slammed over in-flight business class act

If someone touched me like this on a plane, I would politely ask them to not, then if it persisted I would have flagged with the FAs… Barefeet on planes is one of my pet hates though and regardless should not be allowed - I’m a little surprised it is?

    Quoting publications / paywalls

You really think it would be considered acceptable to post paywall stealing links to steal paid content from other publishers and the post it on a forum? That is owned by… a publisher?…. Or even tell people to go and use a paywall stealer by name to avoid paying the publisher for their...

Platinums can now use complimentary upgrade from a Choice fare

It’s been said on here many many times over but Virgin need to do a complete overhaul of Platinum. It’s a very weak offering.

Virgin to charge for Seat Selection - WP/SG Exempt

Well technically Virgin charge for economy X as well and anyone can add that to a booking… They are just rolling down the ladder and charging more people for as many things as they can.

Platinums can now use complimentary upgrade from a Choice fare

Hmmm I agree it’s steep… 😞 Clearly they’ve been under sustained pressure from Plats over the ‘enhancement’ that made the upgrades very difficult to use. Look it’s a start, all we can do is continue to give feedback and maybe they will back down further in March!

ACCC pressures Virgin to lift travel credit expiry [update - Virgin forced to extend]

I’m actually unsure of the burden of these credits Bain is carrying…. And exactly how they have treated them financially in the wash up of the collapse of Virgin. It could well be that they can’t afford it (as in the entity now known as Virgin mark 2, obviously Bain could afford it and could...

ACCC pressures Virgin to lift travel credit expiry [update - Virgin forced to extend]

Colleague at work is in same boat as you. I don’t know why they couldn’t just extend them all. I actually think Virgin refusing to refund credits is telling as well…

What is Virgin Australia's strategy (post-administration)?

Certainly contributors, but think of it this way - all of these should have been forecasted, war gamed, hedged - whatever you want to call it. This is precisely why the big shooters get paid the big bucks, to make sure their business has a chair when the music slows* :) *10 points if anyone...

Using KrisFlyer miles on Virgin Australia

Using KrisFlyer miles on Virgin Australia

Not super familiar with using points this way but random domestic routes seem not to be available to book? Is this still an issue?

What is Virgin Australia's strategy (post-administration)?

I have to say the humour wasn’t me I stole that mosquito analogy from an analyst along the way :) Which ‘court case’? (Almost sad one has to ask this!). If you are talking about the allegations and actions that were taken earlier this year of bullying against Virgin and the CEO, look callously...

What is Virgin Australia's strategy (post-administration)?

Now things have leaked into the public space a little more even if it is through No-News Corp banners (😜) - some Sunday morning coffee reading :) - The roadshow did not engage well with stakeholders overall and there will be some Bain execs that will miss out on some juicy bonuses as a result...

Qantas to Introduce Group Boarding and Bag Tracking

Well established yes as in it’s been around for a long while, but it has changed and not everyone flies AA all the time, so I guess some people just get confused, don’t listen etc Anyway like the new QF system being trialled it is very good at turning away those people, which will hopefully...
