I would have probably lost it too and unlike this passenger I would have got the staff to do something about it….

A Melbourne woman has slammed Virgin Australia and a fellow business class passenger who failed to toe the line on board a flight from Canberra to Melbourne earlier this month.

Samantha Martinovic was celebrating the birthday of her mother, Nadia, by flying business class together for the first time — but when a bare foot snaked through the gap between their seats, the pair were mortified.

“The lady behind me put her bare foot through the seat gap and touched me and my mum’s arm,” she told 7NEWS.com.au.

Exactly ... after first reading the article I reread it a couple of times, then checked the link url, thinking it may have been from the Beetoota Advocate.

I thought it was gross / hilarious.

What kind of person thinks it is ok to take off shoes and put bare feet on someone else’s seat. And in business class!

I mean economy on VA2 it’s perfectly acceptable right

I don't understand this. Why not just ask politely for the person to move their foot? That's too confrontational but going to the media isn't? She claims the person moved their foot after a minute anyway. Move on with it already if you choose not to say something. That's YOUR decision.

Just to be crystal clear. I don't think what the barefooted passenger did is in anyway acceptable.

I actually think I would probably ask the FA to intervene. People are so volatile these days… you just never know what reaction you will get…

If someone touched me like this on a plane, I would politely ask them to not, then if it persisted I would have flagged with the FAs…

Barefeet on planes is one of my pet hates though and regardless should not be allowed - I’m a little surprised it is?

Actually same… perhaps our VA2 employee can enlighten us to VA2s rules in respect to footwear? I’m pretty sure they force you to wear shoes in their lounges?
