QF/JQ domestic flights leaving from international terminal

Better still if you can buy them for $49 in early Feb in the recent Fare Frenzy!! I pay an extra $90 so I can get 30kgs of luggage, choice of seat, meal, flexibility to cancel, points and 20 status credits. But even paying $139 it’s line ball with the cost of the Classic Reward, and much better...

My faves are TCN Restaurant 20x, Perfect EFTPOS 10x, Luxury Escapes 20x and AirBnB 20x. I stock up on each of those when they come out. I’m onto my last TCN Restaurant card and pretty soon I’ll only be getting credit card points for meals and coffees! ☹️ Come on!!

    Qantas Points Club Discussion

I've been assiduously recording my points on a spreadsheet since the PC program started. In the first couple of years I was puzzled why some points credited in my activity statement didn't credit to my PC total for the first 3 months of the new QF year. Then the penny dropped. They were all...

QF/JQ domestic flights leaving from international terminal

Flounge opens around 5 or 5:15, plenty of time for brekkie, plus it’ll probably be late leaving

I'm feeling a bit sad ...[My SC's are getting wiped today... =( ]

My QF year ended on 30 November. I’m not sad to see the balances reset - it creates the challenge for the new year. 4 days into my new year and I already have 717 SCs (I’m currently on the last day of a Status Run to start my new year with a bang). These include my 100SC PC+ rollover, SR SCs...

They won’t help before 14 days after the promo period if the T&Cs say that points can take up to that long to land. But in this case the T&Cs say up to 7 days from the date of purchase and they will engage in that circumstance. I don’t think it’s deliberate that points don’t appear on...

    Woolworths gift card thread

Sometimes the rules say that the purchase of gift cards in any day must be made in a single transaction and sometimes it can be made in multiple transactions. If it’s the former, then it is the first transaction of the day that will count. Not sure why, if the rules require the purchase to be...

    Woolworths gift card thread

I’m not fussed at all if the points don’t turn up on the spot - sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t - but I wouldn’t be denying myself the bulk points available on multiple gift card purchases just because they didn’t show on the register at the time. Provided you’ve read the T&Cs and...

Any time where I’ve had to chase up points in circumstances like this EDR seem almost over-obliging to give you the points - certainly very apologetic.

Max Bundle - didn't get the qantas points or status credits

That’s a good point about being able to get a full cash refund for both sectors in the event of a significant schedule change on one of them. I don’t mind having a few JQ vouchers as I fly JQ enough that I burn through them easily. I always book MAX bundle when flying JQ as it creates good...

Max Bundle - didn't get the qantas points or status credits

With JQ I always buy two one-way tix rather than a return tix. I always buy the max bundle. If I want to change a leg I’m only dealing with that leg. I also always book the new flight afresh, and then cancel the old flight. Yes, I end up with a flight credit but they last 3 years and I fly...

Qantas doesn't care about priority boarding

In my experience priority boarders can take someone traveling with them, who is not otherwise priority in their own right, through the PB queue with them.

    Woolworths gift card thread

Everyone can attribute their own value to a QANTAS point - depending what you want to use them for. If you just want to use them to buy toasters you’d be better off getting the 4% discount off the purchase price of the gift card rather than build up more points. If, however, you want to build up...

    First lounge hypothetical

I’ve done both legs before separately but not together. I understand the logistics of the immigration requirements. If I get swung onto a domestic the deal will be off, and I’ll cancel (for a flight credit - I always add the max bundle for the extra benefits)
