Qantas Increases Legroom Charges; Changes to Row 4 selection on most 737 flights

Seat selection may as well be dropped as won’t be long before you can only select middle row seats. But hey you can choose the row.

Qantas Flight cancellation- J Classic Reward [Rebooked in Economy]

200 passengers being spread around to other flights which are likely to already be above 70% full. QF will even book you in your class of travel on AA if you paid for a ticket. When on a reward they will do their best but if there isn’t enough seats to go around the non paying passenger is down...

What happens if you tick “yes” to respiratory symptoms when you check in?

You were alright when you ticked the form weren’t you. If your Covid negative then that’s the important check. Nobody is checking the airport. I flew back about 10 days ago.

Want to fly PER-SYD in December but the only reward seats go via another capital city

Business is the real deal, grab that if you can. As others have said, holiday season will limit what you get.

    Seat poacher

I've sat in the wrong seat, I'm sure people do it all the time. If you don't fly much you wouldn't know or pay attention.

    Bonza Airline Discussion

Sorry, was more meaning the aircraft owners will lose a few months, others more, but everyone will move on with the hardest hit likely the staff.

    Bonza Airline Discussion

Doesn’t mean he didn’t have a big ego wanting to own an airline. Mick OLeary from Ryanair also comes to mind.

    Bonza Airline Discussion

There are some big egos in the airline ownership/management world. Anyone remember Frank Lorenzo, Freddie Laker,Richard Branson ...... Tim Jordon the list goes on to 2024

    Bonza Airline Discussion

777 will likely lose a few months lease payments, they'll recover the aircraft and move on. One thing I've learnt over the years in transport, you can't cost cut your way into profit. With apologies to Gordon Bethune of Continental Airlines, you can make a pizza so cheap no one wants to eat it...

    Bonza Airline Discussion

Except the ATO has some statutory powers, wonder if Bonza are making preferential payments to anyone.......

    QF11 Changes

Yes very rough turbulence to LAX, around 6 specialists flown in to go over the plane in detail. Be pleased of the change as QF have done it to protect their safety and yours.

    Bonza Airline Discussion

Suggest to all that people hold off making any further bookings with Bonza. The rumour mill is running hot that maybe only days to go before financiers have had enough. At least Virgin or QF are preparing staff ready to offer cheap rescue flights to stranded passengers.

    Off to Denver

All continuous welded rail these days. Though on the grade still jointed in places.

    Off to Denver

Up close to Moffat Tunnel, I think it’s 6 miles long and peaks in the centre, so it’s upgrade bother directions. The east portal has a door inside that opens 5 mins prior to the train arriving at the portal, one train every 20mins to allow the fumes to clear.

    Off to Denver

Yes just for the train ride. The Conductor who is a friend is retiring so went on his last run.

    Off to Denver

Spending the night in Denver and being up at 0 dark 30, off to Denver Union Station for a train ride into the Rockies to Winter Park Resort. Where the train pulls into the Resort right at the chairlifts and gondola.

2 Engines Failures 1 week at Qantas

I think any QF story can be turned into news especially the click bait type. The news should be how many failures per x flights or hours. But that requires some research.

Lets talk about the 787 windows

Only time I’ve flown a QF 787 the shades remained unlocked. But i do prefer them to remain unlocked as I enjoy having the shade cracked enough the let a little light stream in.
