Decided a short trip to Denver was in order and am writing this sitting in the Admirals lounge in the eagles nest at LAX. Lounge is small but functional. Flew over QF and had very good service and a nice seat. Checked in to a hotel for the day for a quick snooze at the H hotel, a one block...

QF12 delayed out of LAX today/tonight (depending on where you are), if it doesn't go No. 11 tomorrow is cancelled. Just keeping an eye on it this week as due out myself end of the week on 11.

Going next weekend to Denver, so first to LAX then business on AA. If the comfort and service are there then a bit of extra time isn’t a biggie.. If going to NY, Arriving and spending the night at the TWA Hotel and a drink in the Connie bar should be on everyone’s list. Can then fly or train...

They are, but even better if you use the Auckland - New York flight. Also, if you prefer first class at least on the long section then LAX is the only way to go.

Book as soon as you decided what dates you want to travel. Between now and then the only thing we know is more people will start booking and fares will creep up.
