We've also now have Asante Rewards from Kenya Airways. Just got status matched with them from EY Gold to Skyteam Elite Plus - which will keep me going until October 2024. FF Number is recognized correctly on China Airlines, Korean Air and Delta from the few dummy bookings I tried.

It's business as usual. Passed through AUH twice in August & September - F lounge has not changed and the J lounge in T3 seems to have new chairs by the looks of it (they looked newer than what I remember) but that's pretty much it.

Are you flying by any chance on VA for the domestic sector? I don't know if VA still through-check luggage and issue boarding passes on two separate PNRs but I had success with VA/EY on separate PNRs multiple times.

I have been using my EY miles on VA - availability is pretty wide open on many VA flights. I am yet to understand how VA awards are made available to EY - as I can sometimes see seats on EY that are Tier 3 for Velocity and sometimes not bookable when only Tier 2 and 1 rewards are shown...

I can confirm that I have purchased 2 tickets via Etihad charged in AUD - processed on my Westpac credit card and no foreign fees were charged. I also changed one ticket via the call centre - received a link to then pay the change fee, also charged in AUD and no foreign fees.

Interestingly, the OTAs are pricing VA319 instead of the EY*VA codeshare EY6652. EY*VA codeshares are generally very similarly priced but it looks like the fare class that the J ticket is priced into is not available anymore for this itinerary - and EY prices it into the next fare class.

That’s a great question - I don’t have an answer - sorry. Maybe someone else might be able to chime in? I had success with QF when I just show my QR card but I never tried with VA as I already have lounge access with either a business seat, the VA status March or my EY Plat (now gold).
