I haven't heard of any DP of business card GTs. For me I did my first GT 4 years ago in 2020 after that had PUJ until now where I did 2 GT in the last 2 months for the Hilton and Marriott cards.

Why not just use Wise or Revolut to do an ACH transfer. They use banks that are located in the US so its not an overseas transfer.

From my reading, best to apply for an Amex with the ITIN first and wait 1-2 mths before applying with Chase. That being said, it wouldn't hurt if you apply now. Worst case is a rejection from not being able to grab your credit report.

Hmm applied with SH Studio on 17th June and received the ITIN over the phone with the IRS. Haven't received the notice/letter yet. Hopefully it arrives soon as amex is requesting for notice before they can open the checking account.

Just need passport, sign a document and pay the fee. They will send it off to IRS which takes minimum 7 wks to be processed. If you get an agent to do it, they will do everything on their end anyways. So the address you put in doesn't matter.

From what I understand, the first card is through GT. Subsequent applications after that is approved based on the US Amex credit history.

Most likely just want to confirm its you that applied and may be required to read out your US address. Just have your application number, US address and phone number ready. Shouldn't be an issue.

You don't need a ITIN to do the Amex GT. Only need an AU amex account as they approve based on your AU credit history. The ITIN is only required for credit card applications with other banks after you build your credit history with amex. As for HSBC checking its useful for future address...

Just tried opening a savings account and was asked to go into branch. This path is gone as well. Also tried a few other banks Wells Fargo, Chase etc.. All got requested to go into branch. Will need to wait another 3 months before I become a HSBC premier and open a US bank account that way.
