I wonder if the delay to the second sector of QF1 (SIN-LHR) was due to it waiting for connecting passengers off the very late QF37 from MEL, which arrived at a ghastly 02.40 in the morning. The QF1 subsequently departed just after 03.45 in the morning, which would seem to correlate.

The Thursday downtime is only for the SIN route, QF295/296 SYD-BKK-SYD appears to operate daily. I guess they will rotate whichever aircraft requires the 24 hour downtime through SIN as necessary as they can swap them here in SYD.
