Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Sounds pretty poor, sadly there are many reports on here of bizarrely slow service on QF. Just re the above, how do you know other pax didn’t fund their own tickets? Most on AFF (myself included) like that meal orders are taken in order of status - of course allowing advance meal selection...

Qantas Fare Rules - Changing one flight of a return

Hi all I’m just seeking some advice if this is correct per the fare rules. I have a same-day domestic return flight (MEL-BNE) Outbound - is Red e-deal Inbound - is Business Sale I want to move the outbound to a flight earlier, fully understanding the $99 fee plus fare difference. However...

Qantas Promises to Fix Ongoing Reward Flight Ticketing Failures

Well 3 days in not much progress. Still no reply to my email to reward ticketing address. The original flights that were lost were temporarily added back as “waitlisted”. They’ve now dropped off on Wednesday and new options on MH the day before are in there as waitlisted. My points have been...

Qantas Promises to Fix Ongoing Reward Flight Ticketing Failures

Update: This morning I can see in the Qantas App that the flights have been added back in and are “Waitlisted” so I’m happy they are looking into it so quick! No reply to my email as yet.

Qantas Promises to Fix Ongoing Reward Flight Ticketing Failures

I have just being pinged by this issue. Although, I think it is more MH’s fault than QF. This afternoon I changed the date of a single flight in my OWA J booking. Paid taxes. Sent to ticketing. Within about 4 hours MH had cancelled the flights - the completely unchanged flights. I’ve sent an...

Everyday Rewards launches Everyday Extra subscription product

Yep, I assumed it would be a nightmare or some T&C I hadn’t understood. But as you say, they very quickly and without drama apologised and gave me the equivalent value in rewards points. I’m actually amazed at how simple it was, they saw the transactions, could see it was an error and just fixed...

Global CrowdStrike IT outage impacting airports and more

I get that it was a code error in the update. But what I don’t get is how searching for memory that doesn’t exist = shut down whole world. I mean, can’t we design computers to deal with a minor fault like an adult, rather than throwing the toys out of the cot and given us the BSOD?

Passenger complains about 'special treatment' on QF on TikTok

The big problem is, for the popular ones, they really work - products they mention sell out, they’re making hundreds of thousands. It’s madness and if you’re a kid, why work when you can just do that.

Everyday Rewards launches Everyday Extra subscription product

Went to woolies today to redeem the free products and do a big shop for the 10% off under the Extra subscription. Got to the end of the process, clicked what at the time I thought was “Apply 10%” but looking back I think it only had the “okay” option, but I’m sure it was talking about the 10%...

Look at how JQ is treating its customers today. Why would you want to support it?

Global CrowdStrike IT outage impacting airports and more

I’m not impacted but this makes me so frustrated. Not being inept is within an airline’s control. Other airlines were able to recover pretty quickly. Hopefully there’s class action to recover costs for effected pax.

15k bonus KrisFlyer miles when you transfer 150k MR points

Received this too. I wonder if SQ has noticed a drop since they went from 2:1 to 3:1. Essentially this makes 75,000 points with other airlines worth 65,000 for SQ for a few weeks. Not sure it’s worth it. My usual SQ redemption (AUS-Asia in O) is 93,500 points, so would still be 235,500 Amex...

Article: Error Fares Aren't the Deal You're Looking For

No of course not. But my point is, whatever the computer comes up with, if it’s high = correct. Irrespective if the calculation or combination of fares used was incorrect. I have definitely seen people buy J class fares, that are very high for the route, that I cannot find the published fare on...

Article: Error Fares Aren't the Deal You're Looking For

I’ve been using FT and AFF for about 10+ years, i’ve NEVER heard anyone receive a call from an airline saying they published an error fare that was too high and here is the refund. Too cheap = error Too high = you accepted the fare, therefore its correct Consumers should be free to rely on...

    PGR Program Changes

Black to become invitation only. Points to be awarded/spent based on hotel category which means no more arbitrage opportunities by earning in cheap places and redeeming at pricey places. Pretty much, most will be worse-off I think. Unless you currently earn and redeem at QT Hotels and are...

    How to confirm refund amount?

It’s interesting that when the amount of refund is tiny, we believe Qantas, but when it’s generous, we think Qantas made a mistake. Qantas has trained us well.
