They didn't get it wrong. The deliberately ran with that line for 2-3 days.

Fraud on Velocity Frequent Flyer accounts

I saw another report of this in the last week in a Velocity FB group. Account had 400k points and woke up to 4 transfer confirmation emails...3 x 125k (the max per transfer) and 1x25k.

    United 787-9 VS 777-300ER

No appreciable difference between the Polaris hard product. Conventional wisdom is that the 787 is easier on passengers...quieter and lower cabin altitude.

No, QR won't do any of that...its not their ticket to touch.

UA lounge access with VA gold?

I haven't tried it yet (next US trip is in July) but there is an app called MPC (Mobile Passport Control) which I think can be used to skip some queues. The advice given by ChrisFlyer above is correct...you will have access to the United Club at SFO, SEA and LAX. In my experience a simple...

That was obvious to everyone except the media from the moment this event was reported.

Airport security confiscated an empty water bottle

Well this is another reason it should end...because its very poorly enforced. I remember boarding a JQ flight in coughet and half the plane just walked straight past the hapless bag searchers. Also, as far as I know, they only search bags...any liquids you can conceal on your person are not being...

Airport security confiscated an empty water bottle

Sure...but NZ enforces the same, post security, secondary screening nonsense that Australia does. And like Australia they don't enforce these rules on domestic flights. Liquids are either dangerous, or they are not. But confiscating liquids purchased in the secure area of overseas airports while...

Airport security confiscated an empty water bottle

The Australian government's international liquid paranoia needs to end yesterday. It is impossible to justify when you consider the lack of liquid restrictions on domestic flights.

SQ321 LHR-SIN Encountered Severe Turbulence [At least 1 Fatality and 30 Injured]

News.com.au ran with the 6000 feet plunge...and then in the article followed up with the 6000 feet plunge was in "just 5 minutes".

SQ321 LHR-SIN Encountered Severe Turbulence [At least 1 Fatality and 30 Injured]

And yet it seems you didn't pay attention to that either...because they did episodes on all 3 incidents you seem to have been completely unaware of based on your ramblings in this thread.

But Qantas had an incident with an A330 off WA when the aircraft went into an uncommanded descent and passengers went through the ceiling. Does the pure good fortune that no one was killed render them "failsafe"?

    SQ Aircraft guide

I HATE the business class seat on the A380. It is just SO hard and unyielding. After trying it I have a new found appreciation for the manual seat back flipping on the long haul A350 and 777!
