I'm sure i could just watch countless YouTube videos on this, but what's AFF member's take on the best aircraft in Singapore Airlines fleet flying long haul??

I've accumulated and saved myself 123,000KF miles from multiple sources, ready to book business class to Europe ex SIN where there's plenty of options.

It’ll be the a350 or a380. But only the bulkheads. Unless you’re really short!

Ate the J seats too short for tall people? How do they compare with the QF one? I find the QF good, except the foot section which is a bit narrow.

Errr… I would say SQ probably has the worst footwell of any seat, on any airline? Tiny little nook, heavily offset to one side, exacerbated by the ‘squarish’ design of the seat.

The 777 is the worst. But we sat in one non-bulkhead on the a380 and were very thankful we’d snagged bulkheads for all other legs!

QF is like an apex suite by comparison!

The 777 additionally has a very awkward tensioned seatbelt which you are supposed to use during sleeping. It’s very restrictive and about the only way to get comfortable is to stuff a pillow as high as you can under the belt to give you a bit of slack so you can turn.

Already starting to sound like i should have aimed for suites 😕
If you're exSIN, it's 141k for F Saver to Europe. Sure, you'll be extremely hard-pressed to find availability on the A380. But the 777 might have a few more options - to either CDG or LHR multiple times a day - and it's a perfectly decent, while not amazingly spectacular F product.

Alternatively, you could pay 93.5k for F Saver to/from Australia's east coast, where F is slightly more plentiful. Again, availability is very much limited though.

As others have mentioned, what sets SQ apart is the crew - they're consistently excellent. Their J seat on the A350s or A380s are probably the best of the bunch IMO (also, the best aircraft experience in general) - if you haven't flown J much, then it'll still be a great experience!

I HATE the business class seat on the A380. It is just SO hard and unyielding. After trying it I have a new found appreciation for the manual seat back flipping on the long haul A350 and 777!
