Has anyone had success with the call-up "Marginal" xASA's?

So far I've just booked one JASA and experienced many of the issues others have had, mostly with the CSA telling me it was just a Points+Pay and I should book it myself online. When I try next time, if I get the same response I'll try referring them to the page on qantas.com.au that states that...

Has anyone had success with the call-up "Marginal" xASA's?

re: Has anyone had success with the call-up method for "Marginal" xASA's? Hi RR, I understand the company line on this, but for me there is just no way that having to ring, wait & see if the CSR you happen to get knows their stuff, if they don't either trying to take them through it or hang...

Have you received your new Qantas Card? Apply for Qantas Cash today.

Re: New WP 1 Card QF Cash My card arrived today & I have to say I'm rather underwhelmed. If I'm reading the material correctly, in terms of points earn I get 0.5 points per dollar for purchases in Oz & 1.0 point for overseas purchases. With my existing Qantas-linked credit cards I get 1 point...

Has anyone had success with the call-up "Marginal" xASA's?

re: Has anyone had success with the call-up method for "Marginal" xASA's? Just one slight change, Red Roo updated the hours for the 1300 number in post #201 on this thread: "While the relevant pages on qantas.com will be updated soon, I would like to give AFF members a heads up that the...

Has anyone had success with the call-up "Marginal" xASA's?

re: Has anyone had success with the call-up method for "Marginal" xASA's? I also got the 'I've been here 10 years you know...' line. I felt like saying that hardly seemed relevant for a change that only happened a week before, but it was clear I was wasting my time. As I noted in my earlier...

Advice on booking J tickets to the USA with frequent flyers (Qantas and AADvantage)

Re: Advice on booking J tickets to the USA with frequent flyers (Qantas and AADvantag Thanks drron, good to know. I agree too that the AA site is great the way it gives you more routes to get to your destination, I'm not that fussy with this trip so long as I make it home :)

Advice on booking J tickets to the USA with frequent flyers (Qantas and AADvantage)

Re: Advice on booking J tickets to the USA with frequent flyers (Qantas and AADvantag I understand that AA releases their Award seats 330 days ahead, but does anyone know what time of day they appear online? I know it's 10.00am Melbourne time for QF but keen to find out if AA also have a set...

Has anyone had success with the call-up "Marginal" xASA's?

re: Has anyone had success with the call-up method for "Marginal" xASA's? Exactly right sumthin, it's hard to see how this is a more efficient process for QF either. How much staff time is taken up doing something that we used to do ourselves? I tend to agree with the earlier comments about...

Has anyone had success with the call-up "Marginal" xASA's?

re: Has anyone had success with the call-up method for "Marginal" xASA's? I take your point Awil, I just thought I would check with the QC people first in case they could do the ASA check. Given I got a yes I think it was reasonable to call them back; if that first consultant had advised that...

Has anyone had success with the call-up "Marginal" xASA's?

re: Has anyone had success with the call-up method for "Marginal" xASA's? Had a very mixed experience this morning. Seats I was wanting were opening up today at 10.00 (MEL-SYD-LAX in June next year). I'm a Gold FF & paid up QC member so rang the QC number (131 131) at 9.30am to ask if they can...

    Aust to USA

I just did a MEL-LAX return flight in May. I booked almost a year ago when QF had a sale, picked up PE at 40% off ($3000 return). I'd keep an eye out for something similar any time now. Good luck!

Best Mix of QF and AA Points

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere but unable to find anything. I currently have 278,000 QFF points & 90,000 AA points (love that bonus purchase :) ). I'm now planning a trip using my points for return flights in J to the USA in June/July 2014, so I'll be looking to book fairly soon...

    QFF Status on AA

I also used the Instant Upgrade advice to book F from LAX to CHI in May, & the extra SCs will earn me another year of SG. So well worth getting your head around the process. Very appreciative of that thread :)
