    Bought 4x100 Giftcards. Only got 4000 bonus points instead of 8000 Was aware of this at checkout but proceeded anyway. checkout person couldn't do anything. Rang the rewards centre, and the extra points posted within a few hours.

    7 Eleven ATMs ( SevenBank) in Japan do not charge ATM fee for foreign Mastercard (eg Macquarie), but they DO charge a fee for VISA ( eg uBank). I was very surprised by this difference, but eventually figured it out. I thought they did not charge all foreign cards.

    yeah, quite unpredictable. just today, i booked a TG (intra-Asia) trip. the same flights were not showing on United or aeroplan, so i was fully expecting the redemption to fail. but it went through.
