I purchased D Class fare and the Qatar Airways app is telling me I can access the Al Safwa First Class lounge. I thought they used to charge people for that!

JAL having really good J class fares to Europe- would you dare to book?

That's a long way to go to SFO but the Q suites and the extra SC will make the journey a lot more pleasant. I may need to go there and was planning to drive up from LA. Thanks for the tip.

JAL having really good J class fares to Europe- would you dare to book?

Not brave enough to fly PR. Also, I'm trying to stick to OW carriers. I'll probably book KUL-LAX via NRT in PE and JFK-KUL in J. RM13k/A$4.2k. Not too bad. If I can change airport in Tokyo then a lot more options but not likely by the time I need to travel.

JAL having really good J class fares to Europe- would you dare to book?

I'm trying to get from KUL to LAX in May. JAL offers the best option in J but some flights still require a change of transit airport. Too hard during the pandemic.

    Rental car excess insurance

I'm looking at the same thing for an upcoming trip to the US. I have been relying on my annual travel insurance policy in the past but I noticed that the covered amount is not enough. I have asked my insurance broker to find me a few good options. Will post the results hear when I find out.

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Me too. I am involved in selling the home quarantine solution that Hong Kong and Singapore governments are using. Works well and inexpensive. The PCR test is reported to be close to 100% accurate if test is done 7-8 days after contracting the virus so test before boarding flight, test on...

    Cathay Dragon folds -- immediately!

I have an upcoming trip from HKG to KUL at the end of Nov. Cathay Dragon was the only airline flying that route direct. The next direct flight now is 14 Dec. Looks like I will be in hotel quarantine over Christmas. Unbelievable!😭

    AMEX Ultimate Travel Credit?

It may be a different card but the idea is the same that I would be given a certain amount of credit to be used on the Amex travel platform. It is the pricing of that platform that I claim is expensive.

    AMEX Ultimate Travel Credit?

I get a $400 credit per year. It is Amex travel that is expensive. For flights, they don't have some of the cheaper class seats. For example, I am looking at KUL-SIN return flights, I was only offered SQ & MH. Cheapest is MH at A$250. Airasia & JetStar not available on Amex. I can get MH...

    AMEX Ultimate Travel Credit?

The prices for both flights and hotels are significantly more expensive than almost all other booking methods. The $400 credit is not worth $400.
