You could ask when checking in at Brisbane, but my expectation would be that this would not be possible as the flights are on different tickets. Which would also mean you would need a visa to enter Türkiye. Out of interest, did you try calling SQ to book all these flights as a Star Alliance...

Good to know. I successfully used this facility last year flying SIN-KUL-BKK on a one-way ticket, but I guess Thailand doesn’t have the same manual checking requirement?

If you can book this all on one ticket that's definitely the way to go. If not, I'd personally prefer 5+ hours between flights (often I stay overnight in Sydney, in fact). 4 hours is fine if everything goes to plan, but all it takes is some bad weather in Sydney with a few BNE-SYD cancellations...

Agree that it's not worth it at those prices for daytime flights. If I was flying overnight (e.g. to/from North America) I might consider it. I'd be interested to know what kind of bid ranges others have been offered on Fiji Airways.

It's a personal preference but I would go via SYD for the A380 and the cost savings. The aircraft type does make a difference on such a long flight. But I would make sure I allow more than enough time for the connection in case the inbound BNE-SYD is delayed, especially if booking on separate...

If it’s AY marketed and QF operated, you’ll earn points and status credits at the (reduced) partner rate. If AY marketed and operated by JQ, I’m not sure you’d earn anything in QFF. Certainly no status credits as JQ is not in oneworld.

Emirates does not currently fly to Helsinki as a regular destination. That’s probably why no flights are being offered on Emirates.

I was wondering the same thing. The booking engine offered airport transfers for an additional charge but I assume I will only get a hotel room as that’s all I paid for.

Not going during Ramadan. I ended up choosing Hyatt Regency. The hotel looks nice and is close to the airport. Booking through QR was less than half price compared to booking a regular room rate. Wonder if I'll get any World of Hyatt benefits (I assume not but am prepared to be surprised).

Why did QR initially say you weren't eligible to use it? Did you book the transfer as a paid add-on?
