Thanks, but I rarely fly JQ either, so don't really know what they allow. I usually fly QF, and as I am WP probably get away with more than what is really allowed. I have heard that TT is very tight on their rules, and so anything slightly over size will cost extra and have to be stowed.

As a J pax, with no QP membership, no you cannot invite a guest into the lounge. Thats what the rules say anyway, but I would still try it when you get to there.

I agree with this, there are real benefits in dealing with the premium desk. If I ring to request my favourite J seat 16B on a 747, the premium desk will usually put me on hold for about 1 minute while they ring seating, and then confirm the allocation. If I get answered by the normal desk...
