Virgin Australia to lease more 737s

I'm guessing VUI and VUJ will be leaving given they're the only two with the original Live2Air seats from the Virgin Blue days that haven't been reconfigured yet.

The Virgin Australia Newbie Questions Thread

In my experience, priority baggage never works properly when I get a tag from the self check in kiosks with the black bolded priority label. A much higher success rate when the separate orange priority label is attached. I suspect the ground crew just don't take any notice of priority bags...

Media reports are now suggesting that there are only 2 survivors, including one flight attendant. The aircraft involved was operating a flight from Jeju to Beijing 2 days ago when it declared an emergency and diverted to Seoul. Reportedly the cause was hydraulic issues.

Qatar Airways returns to Canberra in December 2025

Qatar Airways will resume daily services to Canberra in December 2025. Flights will operate via Melbourne on the Boeing 777. I assume this will replace the current DOH-MEL-ADL service, and with the VA flight, means QR will offer 3 daily flights between Doha and Melbourne. Source...

Virgin Australia to Reconfigure 737 Fleet - Spend $110M

The ex-Silk aircraft pictured above are the exception. Row 3 on the new configuration is much further forward and restricts the ability to have the full length divider.

Virgin Australia to lease more 737s

The A320s on ADL-PER have greatly reduced under the current schedules. VA712/VA717 is now a daily 737 and VA716/721 is an A320 only 3 days a week.
