Out of interest, how do you do this to pay Amex ? On my US Amex statement, I only see an account number (well ending in...), but no routing number or any other method other than a phone number to call or americanexpress.com/pbc With Aus Amex, the statement has options for our local inter-bank...

Is anyone successfully using their US Amex with a multiplier (eg Green so 3x) on Sydney toll roads ? My Aus Plat classified MyEToll deductions as government spend and so did 1x

After tax my processing fee is more like 1.05%, so I guess that pushes it even more in favour of Au Plat Amex

With regards to getting a GT sent to an Aus address, can you do this for the first one ? I'm almost at 10 days since card creation (due 3 September, but I guess could be messy due to US long weekend), and my US address has already received a 'welcome to membership rewards' letter, but no card...

I did online chat and was told that they could generate an interim statement, but that it would have to be physically mailed out. I said sure, but then a new statement was available the next morning online ! I think this was about 1 week after account opening. Worth a shot anyway

Re IBKR Is anyone using them purely to buy FX then sending the money out ? There was a reply further up thread where someone said there was a risk of account closure if you weren’t trading at all… However they do advertise themselves as an FX platform, so I would have thought purchasing USD...

I just set up my first US Amex account via GT and didn't receive any OTP text on a GV account :( I used the robo call option to receive the OTP instead
