Strategy to obtain US Amex

can we claim the GC fees back on biz spend if we use the GC to pay for Biz bills?
I don't do it for the US cards but do it for AU issued cards issued on biz's ABN. Recently got AUS Amex biz 350k SUB + 100K on adding 5 additional card holders (20k/p) . 450K points on paper but the value feels so less....

They did a few weeks ago . But charged heavy surcharge .
I guess it would have be unavoidable situation to use overseas Amex on SNIIP.
Alternatively see if you can buy the Coles MC online (no fee on them atm) using your AMEX and pay using these instead.

or this week you can buy the Visa GC (10x EDR, 7.95 fee on $500card) from woolies or coles MC (4000 flybuys on 250 card with $7 fee)

Might be a silly question.
I am trying to get form 1583 done, and have already booked online notary. Do I fill up form 1583 now and scan it to notary while doing the zoom meeting?
For ID, I can show notary passport and home insurance print out (with my Aus add) ? thank you.

The notary already had a completed Form 1583 based on the information that I had provided to US Global Mail. I was asked to read it during the on-line meeting and electronically sign.

I showed my Oz passport and a copy of my comprehensive car insurance policy.

Australian car insurance policy ?

Wouldn't surprise me - not much doesn't count towards SUB for US, different ballgame to AU. In fact I can probably confirm, I did put 1k on my US AMEX for the ATO directly just to test it out and I got the SUB.

Not sure about SNIIP but Yakpay allows AMEX at the same fee - complete blowout for intl. MC and Visa tho, 3%
I used them ages ago for US Amex and got hit with cash advance fee from US Amex. So you are saying u were not hit but cash advance fee and it went as a normal transaction. What did it say the type of transaction in your statement and the name of the merchant?

Data point on AMEX spread "fee", 0.7% and 0.36% on different dates over the last month.

When Vs. the Yahoo finance rate for that day. Honestly can't be mad at it, the conversion rate swings more than that inter-day anyway and not like there is a 100% authoritative source on what the rate was for any given day.

Am I correct in saying that unlike Aus Amex and all Aus cards, with US Amex there's no way to pay into the Amex account to pay it off ? Instead you have to debit a checking account from the Amex side ?

Hi Guys, I wonder if anyone knows how often does amex report to credit bureau. I am looking to update address and phone number, and will be applying a new card once they have been updated to credit bureau. thanks.

My OH lived in US but left 6 years ago. So she still has an SSN but seems her FICO is now only at 632! Is there any cards she could get now that would help her get it over 700 so she can get an Amex

I've never had one before but is this a job for a secured credit card?

You can use Pay Bills from pretty much any bank to pay. I have been using Citi/Cap1 to pay off P2's cards.
