Nice ill keep that in mind... I was looking forward to the kempinski bangkok over new years but i might just stay in thr ic again
 
This is something I noticed but didn't post on AFF as I decided it was just part of the PP merge into the rewards scheme, but my offer originally came from IHG Rewards Club and described me as an Ambassador (I'm actually platinum ambassador).

Then last night, I received a similar email from Holiday Inn which was generic but displayed a different reward. Said 2 nights or 50000 points rather than 2 nights or 67000 points........???? bit of a difference. I'm assuming the personalised IHG email is correct, but what's with the HI one. I thought for a brief moment it was another offer! (no such luck).

I've received the promo email from HI, CP and IC in addition to the one from IHG RC.

My take is It's just trying to reach all the people who have stayed at these properties but aren't necessarily IHG RC members.

You are an Ambassador as far as ICs are concerned as they don't recognise IHG Rewards status.

If she adds another night and ensures at least two are on a Saturday night that gives another 6000 points and the choice of another freebie night or 25000 points or a possible 60500 bonus points for just 3 nights?

I have noticed that these two stays must be at "participating hotels": there are only 38 listed. IC Santuary Cove is among them as is CP Hunter Valley, but nowhere in Italy; so a little more difficult/expensive than I originally thought but should manage the other 6.

Looks like a blend of two offers, or they want you to book the stay at two resorts only. FWIW another account has a resort offer but the list if participating locations is absent.

I see Hunter Valley is a CP. Was this an IC up until recently, or am I mistaken?

6 achievable (can't do 4 brands), but since I have NO hotel stay planned during the promotion period it would be expensive.

I'm letting mine go through to the keeper ... other than the 100 pts for the survey ...

Or is it possible to book a reward night in the name of another person?

Can't answer your specific query but my recent rewards stays didn't show up on into the nights (as expected) but my AMB Weekend certificate stay posted as 2 qualifying nights for the main account tracker but only 1 qualifying night on the into the nights page and didn't count as a stay at an Intercontinental for Into the nights either. So they have some difference in how they are working things out.

So far as i can tell its completely luck.

Slight dilemma. First night at Holiday Inn Chiang Mai is ~2,800 THB and second night is ~7,000 THB but has an award night available.

I don't expect the reward night to count nor do I want it to count. I just want the first night a revenue night to count. But I have read reports if you book a revenue night preceded or followed by a reward night the whole stay won't count as a stay.
