Congrats!

Saw my post earlier ?

I'd advise to keep pressing them for a written confirmation if possible.

Promised one here but still waiting .....

With Citibank (banks in general) , one can never be too trusting. After all, they all demand paper verification of our IDs etc ...

Good idea legroom - I guess a phone call conversation does not mean much in the scheme of things, especially from a consultant who wants me off their back lol.
Will ask for written confirmation before the offer expires just to make sure.
Thanks!

2 weeks since applying and still waiting. Received a call last week requesting verification of other (non-salary) income, which I provided that night. Received another call on Saturday stating that they have realised I already have a Virgin branded credit card (which I mentioned in the application and said that I was happy to cancel upon approval of the Citibank card). Was told they will try and organise for a fee free balance transfer from Virgin card to Citibank card if approval successful. Still waiting...

Same here, still waiting.

Applied on the 28th of November, got conditional approval right away.
Emailed documents through on the 29th, phone call on the 2nd asking to verify "other income", they offered to just take it off since my salary would qualify without it, so I went with that option.
Heard nothing until the 5th where they called up to verify address & salary, sent through a bank statement and a letter of employment from my employer. Have been sitting and waiting since.

I too just applied for the Signature card over the phone. I already have a Citibusiness Gold and Select cards with Citibank. While I was on the phone I asked them if they can reduce my Select card fee renewal to $350 stating there are no bonus sign on points for renewals and the free hotel stay has been removed. They put me through to customer relations and they happily reduced the fee.

Citi is still coughking around with my application. Apparently a tax return isn't good enough and they wanted my tax assessment too. WTF?

I applied about three weeks ago and my application has been 'conditionally approved' since the following day. I got another phone call a couple of hours ago to confirm my name (again - I must have had 5 or 6 phone calls from them), and have just received an email to say I'm approved and will receive all in the mail. Glad I wasn't in a hurry. They must be really snowed under with this promotion.

How did you ask for this,it seems this was online?

My card has finally arrived after approximately 4 weeks! A statement with a nil balance arrived a day before the card. Now waiting for the pin - at least I can sign in the meantime!

Just been reminded why I left CB.

Got a call yesterday while out wanting to discuss the documents that had been requested. Told the staff I'd already sent an email in, which fortunately they were able to find quickly. My payslips showed i met the income criteria, but I'd included $4K other income and the guy is telling me I need to send in proof for that. After a few minutes finally got him to accept he could exclude that income and continue with the application.

Got an email shortly after advising my application approved.

Fee free, maybe not stress free

Yes, I had to also tell them to discount the 'other income' as it seemed to be hard enough getting through to them on the simple documents.

Same here - I told them to ignore the $10000 in other income if I could still get it based on my primary income. Just couldn't do the documentation easily at all. But sorted. And approved and now have card and pin.

I had the same issue with the other income. You'd think once they had proof up to the required amount that they'd just discount the rest automatically.

Received a call today saying that they'd balance transfer the amount on my Velocity card, cancel that and that I should have my card in 4 working days. Still says conditionally approved on the website so fingers crossed that there are no more hassles.

Citibank are a funny mob. They wanted called prior to my approval saying that my documents showed a significantly higher income that I'd put down (I always lowball it), but also that I hadn't given any proof of my other income. They asked if they could raise my primary and remove my secondary income...

Why not just do it without asking? It in no way affected my application negatively as it have me a higher income on their papers...

Oh well. How do I do the 0% cheque to self feature? Do I have to call for it to be 0%?

I think i've said on about 5 occasions I'd never use citibank again, but they keep offering deals I just can't say no to. Anyway, got approved and its all apparently in the mail so I'm crossing my fingers this is smoother than my other experiences. Can finally say goodbye to the evil HSBC. Can't remember if I saw it mentioned before but online it gave me no option for the QF program, i'm assuming I can just call up customer "service" and have it changed?

I just opted in when I rang up to activate the card. Didn't have any problems with this application. Stupidly had problems with the Citibank Plus Savings account though - hoping the card comes through before I head o/s next weekend...

Seriously thinking about this but i just got the citibank plus visa debt, will see how there custermer services goes with that first, heard some bad things in the past..
Also is there a list of what FF programs u can convert points to? cant find it anywhere

Finally received my approval email today after 2 weeks of waiting. Looking forward to receiving my packages in the mail :)
