You are wrong indeed. You can have multiple accounts and will just get another card.

So I applied..forgot to put drivers licence number :(
Email saying approval pending and Send\fax payslips, licence and medicare.
Email saying email us\send or fax us info and have payoffice confirm employment.
Sent email with info and emailed HR.
Received Txt this morning say follow email sent yesterday.
Already have Citi Plus account with them(new)

Edit: Phone call on voice mail, rang them, told ringing HR today not sure about receiving my email with info.
Rang HR that told me that had been contacted and confirmed info I provided, received call and asked did I want to submitt more support documentation for "additional income", no, will process, emailed received saying Signature approved and will be in mail......bugger as leaving on 26th to N.Y and those Priority passes would have been handy!

Can people tell of the experience of whether they really contact the accountant/employer if the supporting docs all prove qualification?

I am employed and provided the 2 payslips. They still wanted to speak to HR because my payslips didn't prove I was employed...I didn't bother arguing with the logic.

I am citi bank customer for last 5 years and i have credit with them as well.. and i send them my payslips and they still want to call HR and check the salary....

I'm having a few problems with Citibank at the moment, but overall I believe they have looked after me well over 25 years. I used my recent 'negotiations' with them over some minor annoying issues to parlay that into a request to make my existing Platinum card fee free. Job done! :) They did appear to play 20 questions with me though about "where did you see this offer?". But other than that, no dramas.

I've had no issues with Citibank customer service even when I was a regular customer to them. I actually find them light years faster than any AU big four - probably they try and compensate for only a handful of physical branches in AU.

Since I've been a Citigold it's been even better and the Signature card is great esp overseas staying with good hotels :) Visa gives you some nice benefits over and on top of Citi!

Finally as already discussed in another thread their fee free transaction/savings account is brilliant for those that travel OS and for my travel patterns provided better forex conversions than 28 degrees which I cut up :)

Hope this helps some people!

What are the chances, approved today.......card arrive Monday????
Zero?
Can you request express post or pickup....anyone go their new card and did you get priority passes?
Do you show card to use priority pass or just a number for ID?

Are you allowed to keep your current and your new signature card both running? Is cancelling your old one just a choice you are making so you don't have to pay any fees? Thanks. I have a current signature linked to QF and would like the new fee free one for Krisflyer earn...

Spent approximately 30 minutes on the phone yesterday applying for the fee free signature card - painful but I hope worth it.
I already have a signature card so will need to cancel that when the new one hopefully arrives.
I was led to believe that I would need to send in financial information even though they have a credit history for me as I have been with them since 2005.
Practically immediately after the request was submitted I was contacted by Citi saying I didn't need to do the paperwork - they were going to accept my credit history that I already have with them. I also have been alerted that they have done a credit check on me.
I am waiting to see.

The priority pass comes from Hong Kong so will take longer (at least a week or two later) than the Citi Card.
When you use the priority pass you don't need to show / have the Citi Card, just the priority pass and from memory also your boarding pass.

I wonder if I can nominate my wife as the priority pass holder on my new Citibank Signature card since I am already a priority pass member with the Westpac Black card. Then we can both go use the airport lounge, rather just me.

Anyone else done this with success? Or any other suggestions?

I have also re-applied and been approved.

I am an existing Signature card holder and had a reduced fee of $99.00 for life, so I am now happy with $0 annual fee for life.

I have been told that you can transfer MR points from your old account to the new account as long as it is the same card and account name, I will give this a go next week when I receive the card. If anyone has managed to do this please share your experience.

Overall, I have been satisfied with Citibank for the last few years. It is a great card with great earning value for Krisflyer at $0 annual fee this is an amazing offer. Who knows in the next few years? Maybe an upgrade to Select :)

The customer service can be quite difficult to deal with at times, but on several occasions every time I have complained with the customer rep they have given me 5000 bonus points which made it easier to deal with citibank.

They need to UPGRADE / change their Internet banking interface/website it is so bad and I hate it, especially BPAY as you can't save previous billers.

cheers

How are people getting the $0 annual free if already holding the card? I've held the Signature for approx 6 months and would be very keen to reduce the annual fee! Also, never actually received my priority pass membership that I am meant to be entitled too...

You have to apply. I can't find the URL but there's an address Citibank provided on a letter.

Hmm, got a text message from Citibank saying "Due to the overwhelming response to our offer, we are experiencing some delays with our processing time. We thank you for your patience and we will be contacting you shortly."
